I thought the spread would be bigger. I don't know a lot about Seattle. I saw the SF blowout and they looked fast and powerful. That said, I think our defense can stop the run. Let's see how our secondary can handle their wideouts. Defensive game planning has been good the end of the season. Need one more good one. The one thing we need to do differently is to have Drake sling the ball. No holding back, no playing safe. Ball out. Threw short to Boutte a couple times yesterday, missed somebody going right to left in the end zone, don't know who it was. He pulled it down and got sacked. See color, throw ball.
That was Diggs.... I was screaming at the TV

A few different approaches:

1) get to Darnold quick. Don’t let him get comfortable, blitz the **** out of him. Jam the WRs at the line, and be physical as hell. Gonzo on JSM.

Or

2) confuse him. Mix blitzes with 4 man fronts. Bracket coverage JSM and have Gonzo eliminate Shaheed.

First, we need to eliminate the run at all costs. If they get to 2nd and 3rd and short, it will be a long day. If we can consistently pressure them and get to 3rd and long, the more we’ll see old Sam Darnold come out and get some turnovers.

It will be our toughest game, but we can win.

Seattle is the one I wanted. Trying to deal with all the weapons on the lambs would’ve sucked. Darnold still has time to fold in a big game
I hear you! It was going to be a tough match either way. I'll gladly take my chances vs Darnold than Stafford and his plethora of weapons any day of the week and twice on Sundays! I know they are two different teams but today I watched highlights from the Pats/Seahawks game in the 2024 season! There are still some players from both squads that still with both teams today! Drake played pretty great against them in his rookie season!

I am geting tired of all the "this is the hardest test" every single week. What is it? Is the San Diego defense the hardest? How about Denver? What about Houston?

Now it's the Seahawks. DVOA this DVOA that. I have seen them play a lot this year. They are just an OK defense. Nobody ever talks about the Patriots defense. It's nauseating.

Walker really is what the Chiefs fans think Pacheco is. He's gotta be shut down.

Legitimately, they have a good, not great pass rush. They have EXCELLENT linebackers, probably among the best in the league. Safeties are good (Especially Emmanwori, my binky), but those corners are puppy-**** soft. Remember when Tariq Woolen was supposed to be the next big thing? All I saw was old man Davante Adams eating his lunch yesterday.

I think that Chaisson is gone. He'll get signed to a big number that the Pats won't match.. I really like how Ponder has come on.,
having Ponder, adding a 1st or 2nd round draft pick, Re-signing Jennings and adding someone to replace Chaisson and Landry (who I think might retire) is what we'll see.
Chaisson may choose to stay if Pats win.

JSN's RR and Separation skills are Elite; poetry in motion. I'm wondering if Gonzo can stick with him.

Gonzo won't be able to keep up with him. Way too fast. Put Jones on him.

We're off to a roaring start this week.

In 2 Saturdays, the national Talking Heads will have convinced people Seattle is the Greatest Show on Turf Rams, and the 85 Bears at the same time.

That number's going to be close to Seattle -7 before the sharp money comes in.

Seattle's a very good, balanced football team, and deserves to be in the Super Bowl.
Patriots have 2 weeks to figure out how to limit Smith-Njigba, because that's their offense. To me, that's what the game will boil down to.

-7 Is insane to me. I'm picking to Seattle to win but more in a coin flip kind of game. Getting an early lead will mean everything in this game.

It already went from -3.5 to open to -4.5 after the NFCCG. I expect after a week of ESPN doing their level best to move the line, it will be -6.5 or -7 by Friday night.

I can see the Seahawks playing alot of man to man coverage in this game. McDaniels needs to scheme guys open or go to the screen game.

Gonzo isn't fast enough to keep up with SJN. I would put him on Kupp.... taller and easier to keep up with. I would put Jones with help on SJN.
Gonzo ran a 4.4 and JSN ran a 4.5. What makes you say he's not fast enough to cover him?
