I would like to disagree. This is still a very desirable coaching opportunity. Allen is the top QB in the league. He should get his team to the playoffs for the next 5-years. You could be the coach that gets buffalo back to the Super Bowl and win it. That would be amazing.
It actually isn't a desirable place and the exact reason why BB spurned the Jets to take the NE job which he wanted all along starting in 1997. They are very dysfunctional. You have an Owner holding a press conference throwing the coaching staff under the bus while the GM takes ZERO responsibility. The new outside HC will be at the mercy of the GM. Pete Carroll had this happen to him in NE where he was handcuffed while watching the roster erode only to get fired after the 1999 season. This was why he never took a HC gig without full power. John Harbaugh just got that ability in NY. Head Coaches should absolutely ask for full power.

With that said, I think the Bills hire in house to keep control like Jerry Jones loves to do. If Allen is a fan of Joe Brady, I think he'll end up being the HC.

Coleman hasn't had the production of a high 2nd rounder but we aren't talking about N'Keal Harry here. He has had some success at the NFL level. I'd give him a shot here and see what he can do.

I would trade a 6th for him. He is a nice big target for Drake. Instead of needing to live up to his draft status he would just need to be the 4th or 5th or 6th dude. NE's WR room is pretty positive and they get the best out of each other... and he would likely be motivated to stick it to Buffalo 2x a year. Might be a good spot for him.

Agreed. If Mack or others vouch for him why not take a flier on him.

Keon Coleman hasn't been good or worth his draft status, but why is he being made into this huge scapegoat here? People act like he sunk the franchise lol
It's because he's the latest in a strong of bad picks. I mean, they could've substituted Kaiir Elam for Coleman and the point would be the same.

You can't look at the yards and # of receptions. You have to look at his targets. 57 targets for 29 catches last year. 59 for 38 this year. Overall, he's at a 55% catch rate.

LOL! They blamed a member of the coaching staff for drafting Coleman, but the Bills' draft documentary shows Beane being in absolute love with Coleman and wouldn't trade away the pick unless someone offered something really big.

...and then you look at ave depth of target and separation.

He doesn't even get a chance sometimes.

He's been a health scratch a few times
Seems like you don't want to entertain the idea. Thats fine.

Wayyy overdramatic. It's like how people treated Ja'Lynn Polk but worse.
N’Keal Harry was picked 1 spot ahead of Coleman. He single-handedly brought down the dynasty, remember?….

2024 - Beane scribbles on a piece of paper "Keon Coleman no matter what", films himself talking about how much he loves him

2024 through 2025 - Keon Coleman ends up being kinda bad

2026 - Beane convinces the owner that actually it was McDermott's fault, he never even liked Coleman anyway, they should probably fire that guy

True, Mack would have overlapped with him in 2024 on the Bills. He would have the intel.

IIRC, I think there was word that Wolf liked Coleman, but when Buffalo took him right ahead of them, the Pats traded down? Then they eventually took Polk. Not sure if that's ever really been verified.

Regardless, Coleman is the body type that the roster needs. It would be a nice depth pickup.

The more I think about this, the more it becomes a bad, very bad. The owner basically put the blame for firing the coach on how despondent his QB was. So Josh Allen, good job in getting your coach fired. Ha!

LOL, ProFootball Talk doing some research and finding some revisionist history is going on; either that or total false advertising at the time.

Some good stuff in there, such as: “I’m glad he ran that,” Beane said of Coleman’s slow 40. “It’ll help to get him.”

Success has a thousand fathers. Failure is an orphan.

Bills fans online are saying this video is AI... lol
