Fans obsessing about the cooks call…. Allen could have (1) not been an idiot at the end of the first half (2) not overthrown a game winner (3) not lost the ball on multiple occasions and he’d have won. Why not obsess over those ?

If NE’s all world offense hadn’t been inept all game, the crazy catch in winter 2008 would’ve been irrelevant.

Pats' offense was inept for the most part because the right side of the OL was ASS after Neal left the game early in the 2nd quarter. Skippy's pig-headed play-calling (3rd/7 leading to 4th/13 e.g.) was reason #2. And Maroney's descent into JAGness was #3.

Hmmm... An entire side of an OL... Skippy McD... uh-oh...

This is Brandon Beane btw before this season.

Their leading receiver this year was...Shakir? I think. Their best receiver ended up being Brandin Cooks, who they grabbed off the street a month ago.

Brandon Beane sounds like a ****head.

No, because he wants to leave UNC in better shape for his son to take over the program. BB already signed a better QB for 2026.

Any NFL owner who is looking for a HC would be foolish not to speak with BB.
That's right. Bill probably knows a few HC's that he could recommend for Buffalo.

Firing McDermott while keeping Beane makes LESS sense today than it made when it happened. And it didn't make sense then.
Looks like Beane has the owner's ear, and McDermott lost the power struggle. That whole press conference makes both Beane and ownership look petty and unaccountable. It may cause any coach interested in the job to hesitate. All in all, job openings with MVP quarterbacks in their prime don't come along too often, but bad ownership is cancerous to an organization.

he does sound like a ****head.... A very thin skinned ****head, and he gave these guys some great content for this offseason.

But I hope they don't make his wife cry.... Yeah right, she's crying all the way to the bank.

I don't think he's a bad owner. He's been loyal to the city. Built a new stadium. Helped build a perennial challenger and division winner, etc. I think he simply made a blunder. He reacted emotionally to an emotionally charged loss and fired his coach, and then compounded that error with an emotionally charged presser.

Now I usually LIKE it when my owners act from the gut and show true emotions of the fans I want them to be inside. We love the fact that Kraft was a fan long before he was an owner and bought the team to keep them here. Remember unlike today when owning a team is a license to print money, buying the Foxboro Patriots was NOT considered a good business decision by ANYONE. He bought them because he COIULD, not because he should. So no, Pagula isn't a bad owner, like Woody he just fumbled the ball the other day (at least IMHO)

By no means do I think Pegula is in the Woody Johnson realm of bad owners, but Pegula has a track record of keeping the wrong guys. As he also owns the Buffalo Sabres, which he has driven into the ground by hiring and firing coaches and GM's and trading away players who win elsewhere. The most recent GM he let linger for 6 years through 3 different coaches, and the Sabres haven't made the playoffs since he bought the team.

As far as the new stadium goes, the State of New York will be funding almost half ($600 million) of the $1.4 billion stadium, with Erie County funding another $250 million, a loan from the NFL for $200 million, and Pegula funding the rest. In addition, Pegula was the first NFL owner to sell a partial stake to private equity, which destroys everything it touches, so god only knows what the long-term impact of private equity in the NFL will be.

After Pegula's first hire, the Rex Ryan disaster, he got lucky with McDermott. McDermott ended a 17-year playoff drought in his first year as head coach, with a team led by Tyrod Taylor. From there, they got Josh Allen, and they only missed the playoffs once in Allen's rookie year. I am not trying to champion Sean McDermott as the greatest coach to ever live, but the rosters he was given over the last few years didn't cut it. Beane should have been the one to go and keep McDermott and see what happens with upgraded personnel. Instead, they promoted the guy responsible for the roster because he cozied up to Pegula.

How embarrassing to that fanbase. Imagine we did this with Belichick?

Thanks for the additional info. I didn't know about the Sabers. We Bruins fans have our own ownership issues, but from a better winning situation.

Unfortunately, back when the Bills stadium went in the works 50% was the going rate. I think now it is about 25% which is better, but still too much. Another reason to thank God for Kraft for keeping his hands off our tax dollars. But that's fodder for another thread.

They seem excited about it but probably not the way you think. Lol

What a bunch of losers, complete and total loserville. I didn’t love McSchottenheimer but he did win 5 division titles and had a great winning percentage.

McDaniels? Philip freaking Rivers??? Mayo must be next.

Hey Beane, nice groceries at WR? Total freaking loser town, good riddance.

Careful, there are still some die hard Bill cultists that might start such a thing even now with Vrable.

Heck they would probably trade UNC Maye and Vrable to get Bill back.

  • Nailed It!
Reactions: sb1
This ought to go well. Lol

Usually ex-players make their bones as assistants, etc before becoming HCs.

Not sure why Beane and Pagula believe PR is ready for this role?
