That said Garrett and Rudolph ended up being lucky that he didn’t connect solidly with the top of Rudolph’s head with that helmet. The whole thing could have been much, much worse. Garrett also tried fir a second swing of the helmet on the way down but a Steelers player blocked it.Maybe if it happened in Pittsburgh in an election year for District Attorney..... Not in scenic bucolic Cleveland.
Yes. Simply yes. PossibleYes or no - a helmet blow to the unprotected head of a man can kill him?
I'm just ****in you lol. You’ve definitely never played against hood rats before I take it. If you spent your entire life in New England and played up there, that doesn’t surprise me. I have. That’s something a hood rat does. We used to see stuff like that when we’d play schools down in Belle Glade and Miami. You don’t seem to realize that a helmet blow to the head while the helmet is being swung by someone as big and strong as Garrett could have killed Rudolph or put him into a coma if it had connected full force. This has also been pretty widely condemned by players, and for good reason. That ain’t acting like a snowflake. That’s calling it like it is.

I just can’t see any way that Garrett plays again this season.
@Elijah... Charlestown is a white people hood. You dorky, sheltered virgin.I'm just ****in you lol.
Fwiw Im from Charlestown, A LOT, different then "New England".
16 games feels right. If he ever does anything like it again, a ban.
Rudolph won't get anything. He plays for Rooney and the Steelers. Good for Garrett. It's a shame a man can't stand up for himself anymore. He did apologize. 1 game is all he should get.
What Garrett did was wrong to the point that he is a professional and should be able to keep his emotions under control infront of million viewers on the TV.
BUT this little sissy of Rudolph, trying to get Garrett helmet off to start the complete action, going after Garrett like a kid beeing taken his sweets away just to get wracked to cry for the ref like a 12year old girl and than saying he did not do anything?
get the f out of here, you want to fight and go after somebody? than better be ready to fight or being punched, don't look for mommy and daddy to help you out there on the field
So yes Garrett actions are inexcusable but Rudolph has a good portion of the action and should be banned too, just for his unprofessional childish behaviour of starting the fight off because he was clearly frustrated
Did you get any action last night? Asking for a friend.
And secondly, what happened last night? Fell asleep on the couch.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that occurred because Garrett body slammed Rudolph and wouldn't get of him long after the ball was thrown. So ... why would Rudolph be trying so aggressively to take Garrett's hemet off? Can't figure that out. Unless he was trying to injure him, which very well could have happened.

I'm missing something. Garrett drives Rudolph into the ground, long after the ball has been released and potentially injuring/dislocating his shoulder, and Rudolph is the instigator? Garrett should have been flagged/ejected for roughing the passer. Rudolph had every right to be upset with Garrett.Good point. My perspective up until now was that Rudolph at least deserves part of the blame for being the clear instigator (and what Garrett did was technically giving Rudolph a taste of his own medicine). But what Garrett did was way disproportionate to what Rudolph did, and there's no excuse for it.
Yeah, but that was a while ago. Can’t see him playing this yearI have no idea what's going to happen. Albert Haynesworth got five games for his stomp on Andre Gurode in 2006. This is (A) arguably worse, and (B) in the CTE-aware era. OTOH, any discipline can be reduced by one of the former player appeals officers (WR James Thrash, LB Derrick Brooks).
