You better stick with hockey junior, as you are an obvious AJ style BB can do no wrong homer. PS, Rask is garbage too. :p

You've yet to show you know a damn thing about football or hockey. Typical troll.

They run the stretch play because they can't run inside. They can't run inside because they aren't winning many battles inside the tackles. They can't pass well because they only have one receiver who can get open and catch the ball even on those occasions when Brady has time.

And they paid Mason all that $$$$?? Maybe Andrews and Thuney are Bigger problems than we thought.

Boy does that guy suck. Frank Ragnow was pushing him around like he was made of paper. There was one third down run where Ragnow pushed Shelton aside and then grabbed Guy or Brown or one of those other stiffs and shoved him aside too and Blount just walked through the hole for a couple yards. I mean, Ragnow is very good obviously but you can't have a nose tackle who gets moved off the line like he's not even there.

Please make sure to put this up in the Re-Watch thread. I'd really like to see it..

The defense is so bad, that I think that even Brady doesn’t th8nk he can score enough to win. then add to the fact that he played a game tonight without any WR of any talent at all.

Brady, Gronk, and Gilmore are the only guys with any talent at all. Hightower is a shell of himself. B.B. the GM has killed this dynasty. Years of bad draft picks and letting great players go for peanuts in return.

Cooks for a guard, who will never pan out
Jones for a bag of magic beans
Collins given away for nothing.

If you keep getting players that failed in Cleveland, sooner or later you become Cleveland!!!

FTW - WOW. Gotta love the ridiculous over-reaction and outright BS from you.

- Collins ain't doing squat in Cleveland.
- You're so great that you can see the future that Wynn isn't going to pan out? Guess you better play the lottery so you can retire.
- Jones wasn't given away for a bag of magic beans. Cooper and a 2nd round pick. That 2nd round pick turned into Thuney and Mitchell.

Years of bad drafts?
You don't seem to remember BAD DRAFTS..

Every team's foundation is its last 5 years of draft picks and its QB. We're still doing great in the QB department, but the overall talent deficiency is 5 years in the making. I worried it would come eventually, should have realized it was coming sooner. The sum total that this team has to show for the last 5 years of round 1-3 picks is a handful of JAGs. Belichick had done an indefensibly ****ty job drafting for five solid years and this is the inevitable result.

Luckily nobody in the AFC is especially good, so even if they dig the hole deeper next week (which I fully expect) they'll still have a pretty easy path to a bye if they pull their heads out of their asses and play some actual football. Having the GOAT QB gives us that luxury

So, BB is supposed to be able to see the future and know the following:
That Wynn, Berrios, Dawson, Izzo and Sam are going to suffer injuries that require them to be IRed.

That Garcia is going to be stricken with blood clots in his lungs that hadn't shown up on the Combine Physical or the Patriots Physical in May or the TC Physical in July.

BB is supposed to see the future and know that Rivers would tear his ACL in Camp.

People forget how good the Pats 2016 draft actually was. Thuney, Brissett, Valentine, Karras, Hill, Mitchell. Roberts is mediocre, but also came from that draft. Hill was lost when the Pats tried to stash him on their PS. He's been an outstanding STs player for the Eagles. Without Mitchell, the Pats don't win the SB. Thuney has been a solid, though not outstanding LG. Karras is a good back-up on the interior and showed himself a capable spot starter.

The 2015 draft was pretty good as well. Malcolm Brown, Trey Flowers, Shaq Mason, Joe Cardona, Geneo Grissom, and Daryl Roberts. Roberts was another one they lost trying to get to the PS. Grissom has been a decent role player on STs.

The 2014 draft netted them Garoppolo, Stork, White, and Fleming.

The 2013 draft netted them Collins, Harmon, and Ryan.

I know that Malcolm Brown isn't an All-Pro, but at the 32 pick of the 1st round, should he be?
You have starters in Thuney, Flowers, Mason. You have excellent long snapper Joe Cardona.

At some point we have to address the fact that Belichick has been drafting terribly for the past three years.

Players still on the Patriots in the past three drafts:
  • CB Cyrus Jones: Bust so far
  • OG Joe Thuney: Slightly above average starter
  • LB Elandon Roberts: JAG
  • OG Ted Karras: Backup
  • DE Derek Rivers: Shown nothing so far
  • DE Deatrich Wise: Steady improvements
  • OT Isaiah Wynn: Out for the year
  • RB Sony Michel: Potentially short career, and has shown nothing so far.
  • CB Duke Dawson: IR
  • LB Ja'Whaun Bentley: Good
  • CB Keion Crossen: JAG
This is a depressing list to read. I know that we have traded away some of our picks for impact players like Cooks, Trent Brown and others, but at some point Belichick needs to hit on some of his draft picks or we won't be elite for much longer. Talented players on rookie contracts win championships, and Brady isn't going to be around forever.

It's absolutely amazing how you can judge players who are rookies as being JAGS or "Shown nothing" after playing snaps in 2 games.

God forbid that Rivers, who is recovering from a torn ACL, has shown nothing when the Pats played him for a handful of snaps late in last night's game.

And since when is BB supposed to know that Wynn, Dawson, Berrios, Izzo and Sam are going to be injured in camp to the point they need to be IRed?

Frigging know nothing spouting off is what you are.

Both of whom were integral to a Super Bowl title. I'd trade any one of our players right now if that trade led to another SB title. Even Brady. Not that I want him gone - I want him to get a sixth ring with the Pats. But still.

Brady remains the holy cow for a lot of people here. Even when he played not any better than the rest of the team in the last two weeks.

That’s sacred cow. Holy cow was an exhortation by legendary baseball announcer Harry Carey. Belichick is your sacred cow bud so stop talking about others regarding Brady.

Brady makes mistakes and has poor games like last night’s. When you admit the same about your hero, we can all have a discussion.

You are not watching the Defense most of us are... They can't get off the field. Add to that the Offense can't stay on it. This Team reminds me of that 2002 Team not good in any area.

The 2002 team had 1 flaw. It didn't have a NT to build the defense around and BB was insistent on playing the 3-4.

Brady missed some easy throws. Lets not put all the blame on the WRs

This is a good point. He missed a couple of critical passes early - one to Patterson (who was open an so was White) and one to Dorsett, I think. Stafford made several nice throws even when pressured. Didn't really see much of that from Brady last night or in the Jags game.

The first two were behind dorsett. Catchable but not good throws by any means.

The problem I have with the drafts is not he should have picked player A instead of player B (unless you want to talk Carlos Dunlap versus Jermaine Cunningham). Its the trade downs, or the not trading up! For the last ten years, the Pats have had enough depth that they really don't need large draft classes. This years class is being stashed on IR. I think only Dawson has a chance of coming back this year.

The Pats need to package those 3rd and 4th round picks to move up in the draft and grab real impact players. I'm sure that #23 and #31 would have gotten them high enough to get a true impact player for the front seven. Instead they over drafted a guard who got hurt and Michel. I loved the Michel pick, but I'm frankly amazed at how slow he looks. I can only assume he is still hurt, or he is running with an anvil in his pants.

Instead of the linage of wasted second round picks of DBs, package those picks and try and move up! Year after year, the late round picks don't make the team, or are grabbed up by other teams, why not bundle those picks and move up the board to grab a premium player. The Pats now are facing the Jets, Dolphins, and Bills, each of them have had ten years of high first round picks to stack their front seven with. Luckily, some of those picks have been busts, but still all of them have much better defensive fronts than the Pats.

This Team so much like that 2002 squad they are like identical twins talent wise.

I'm hoping it's ,2014 and they just sucked like that KC game... Only thing they didn't pull Brady. ... Hmmm..

On to (Cincinnati) Miami

At least you admit the drafts after 2015 were complete ****...

The 2002 team had 1 flaw. It didn't have a NT to build the defense around and BB was insistent on playing the 3-4.

A quibble here, but the safety position left a lot to be desired that year too. That's why BB went out and signed Rodney and then drafted Eugene Wilson. He still thought Lawyer Milloy was a good player but was no longer a star and tried to keep him at a reduced pay; he dumped the other guys altogether (Tebucky Jones and Victor Green).

Your critique of Brady's play last week was idiotic when you were making it last week. It continues to be so today.

It's not rocket science. Three games into the season, the concerns that many on this board had during the offseason

Letting Lewis go
Letting Amendola go
Reliance on disappointments Shelton and Clayborne to fix the DL
Need of a worthy Butler replacement
Slow LBs
Not replacing Cooks
Not getting a safety to replace Richards

are all still concerns today, regardless of the "why" of any particular concern. And that's why the team is 1-2.
