Yep, I'm always of the opinion that the more you can get a team to commit to "smash mouth" football, the more you're getting them to unintentionally decrease their chances of winning.

Hollister is probably the guy I'm most curious to see playing on offense.

Reiss and others have said on TC that he was impressing. I am dying to see the day they find a 2nd TE who is at least capable to play with Gronk. I will say, based on his first year, that it would be a grateful surprise.

Rick Pitino says that Aaron Hernandez and Martellus Bennett are not walking through that door (definitely not Hernandez).

Joking aside, I'm excited to see Hollister too.

One guy whom Bill might also have mentioned if he had more time is WR Dede Westbrook. He is now what we in our dreams hope Corey Coleman can become one day if he actually gave a sh!t.
As a(nother) cruel joke played on us by the Draft Gods, the pick which Bill also gave away to New Orleans for one year of the lost little Cookie - #103 - could've been used on Westbrook, whom Jacksonville selected 7 picks later.

Westbrook was pretty firmly off my draft board. Talented, but extremely questionable character. That said, he's capable of giving our corners some problems. I'd like to see Jones against him.

Oh, and here are his career stats:

32 catches for 390 yards, 12.2 average, long of 29, and 1 touchdown. In the playoffs against us last year, he had 1 catch for 29 yards. I'm not sure that's lighting the world on fire.

Coleman:

56 catches for 718 yards, 12.8 average, long of 58, and 5 touchdowns.

While you have legitimate draft grievances, I'm not sure this is one of them . . .

Could be a couple moves at 4:00.

Uh oh. If Waddle's struggles against Watt are any indication, I have little hope he'll keep Campbell at bay. Campbell ate Ereck Flowers for lunch last week.

Regards,
Chris

In fairness, Ereck Flowers kinda sucks. Even compared to Waddle.

Agreed, but let's not get carried away. We're talking Campbell, here.

Ok.. week 2 at Jax. My first thought is survive the first quarter and weather the storm of revenge motivated team organization and fans. This is important since Patriots if prepared for this can hopefully use jags aggression against them with misdirection and plays designed to extend the pursuit of the defense by going sideline to sideline.. On defense, concern is if Patriots get multiple defensive penalties by over aggressive refs.

That said , a ball control type first half will be beneficial if special teams execute and force jags deep having to go length of field. This emphasizes the point that Patriots absolutely cannot turn the ball over.. we know this will be point of emphasis this week after multiple fumbles and a pick last week. Flip side is defense can force a few mistakes from bortles since well, he's bortles... linebackers will need to cover backs since Blake is a dump off guy .

Moving to second half in close game is where mcD and the offense can open up and make some big plays and Brady can relax a bit after pass rush hopefully slows down . Halftime adjustments can increase pressure on bortles and get those turnovers that will win the game. Sorry Jax fans and Coughlin go home pissed off again as Patriots take second big game in a row... After all we have 2 close super bowl losses to that guy that we need to avenge....

Croston has been promoted to the 53

I get that burkhead is the boards whipping boy when it comes to injury but cannon has been just as bad, and he’s more expensive.
