Can someone tell me what the Patriots are doing? Now Cooks is gone?

Cooks never set my heart on fire. He was decent but nothing more. Gaining a year rental and then 23rd pick is fantastic in my mind. What would we do this time next year if we had kept cooks? paid him watkins money? Using these picks i would love if we traded up and got either chubb or mayfield. Or traded down and had multi picks. I think BB has done as well as we can expect this off season. Next test- the draft

Bro it will be uglier than the elephant mans outhouse in here

Not if we draft Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson or someone that gifted

That’s true maybe. I think that it’s not likely we draft those guys though. I’m thinking it will be a guy we don’t know about that much yet. The draftee might be just as good as either of those two. I still foresee some tragic stuff when brady goes

Let's see...we just lost a major good WR. We lost critical players in our offensive line. We lost defensive players.

Seriously....wtf is this team doing? They're doing nothing all off season besides losing key players, and failing to obtain any above average players. They let Butler go and now they have another hole in the defense. They don't bother to go after Sherman. They don't bother to go after Jordy Nelson. They're not bothering to go after anyone.

Well I guess BB is content for another 2009 season. Remember that season?

Another thread viewed through the myopia of Pats Fans.. every NFL team has hits and misses in the draft, not just the Patriots..

Soon there will be meaningless draft report cards for every team that mean absolutely nothing except for fodder for sportstalk radio and discussion boards..

Do the Pats have more or less "misses" no one knows, but the Pats never have the luxury of top 10 or top 20 draft picks, this year we have #23 and most fans are crapping themselves over such a high pick..

At one time I tracked the draft pix for NE, Pitt, Green Bay, NYJ, Miami and Buffalo and despite the differences in where they picked the outcome was about the same.. one thing that did stand out is that the misses were obvious.. I gave the effort up as when it was posted no one seemed to care all that much about it.

He saved money on the cap, picked up a #1 draft pick, and he's signed other receivers who can do the job. I liked Cooks, but this was a great deal. The Pats are deep at receiver already and have other pressing needs. This helps with that a lot and gives him great flexibility on draft day.

Never fall in love with a particular player. Each has value, each costs money against the budgeted cap number for their position group, each has a projected upside. Each one can be traded for greater value. The only exception is Tom Brady. I think.

Ever responsive to it's growing legion of detractors over the past 18 years the team has now created an 800 # for those outside the 508: (800)EAT-SH!T

Callers are advised to be patient, calls won't be answered any sooner than at least 5 rings

RING.

"Thank you for calling 1-800-EAT-SH!T. This is Alex Guerrero. How may we help you today?"

For general complaints press one
To argue about trades press two

Then just keep bouncing them around like the power company does
