You can't think of the player/position like that. It's not a binary thing.

A QB can be elite but if the receiver can't get open and catch the ball he ain't getting it.

A receiver can be elite but if the QB sucks is he getting the ball.

If the line sucks then it's over. If the system is a lousy fit for the WR then he won't be successful.

And yet The Pats got rid of some talent and replaced them with nothing while playing a QB who's going backwards, both figuratively and literally. It's starting to feel like the Pats are tanking.

That depends. With the current O-line, no. With a league average one, yes.

Last year Mac Jones was having issues with Patricia and he went outside the organization with information about the internal working of our organization ! Bb has never forgiven jones for that treason.
On top of that Mac jones has clearly lost the locker room which is the worst thing ever for a qb!

The best thing for jones at this point is a change of scenery!

He has made necessary throws this year. Not all of them but some. That number would increase if the Oline could block an old lady using a walker.
