When I used to listen to their podcasts, they would occasionally mention in an appreciative manner the autonomy granted them by the Patriots. Toward the end, I often wondered how closely the team actually monitored them. Lack of censorship and being allowed to speak freely are important, but there should also barriers of good taste on what is said on the air. Hell, I curse, swear and say vulgar things often, but I choose my spots and audiences. Sometimes.....
That's something I forgot about when reading this thread and thinking about Hart's comments: He works for the Patriots! If the team was as bad as these guys act like it is, they'd be unemployed due to a lack of interest in the product or staffing cuts.
Is there a chance that, if there was a Cubs Baseball Weekly site/magazine, one of their employees is saying "David Ross needs to stop showing up at these awards shows."
I wasn't really outraged by the comment, I don't really understand what he even really means by it. I was just pointing out the PFW show has gone down hill.
Yes, Rooke and Scalavino are good together. They have some other good guests like Mark Daniels, etc. on from time to time. Far better show.I prefer Patriots Playbook anyway. Lots more in-depth info with John Rooke and Erik has good chemistry with John. PFW is now 75% Howard Stern-ish and 25% Pats talk. If I want that I'll turn on friggin Stern. I get why Pats fans listen to them because they feel that they are "in the know" since they work in the stadium, but there are so many other choices out there now. Thing 1 and Thing 2 in the Bob's Discount Basement Dump are not it for me.
Same here. Just the mention of Hart got me rolling. Not sure about his comment, and don't really care.I wasn't really outraged by the comment, I don't really understand what he even really means by it. I was just pointing out the PFW show has gone down hill.
Just wait - we'll get to listen to Andy Hart and Paul Perillo offer their inane banter and terrible commentary from the Bob's Discount Furniture Studio brought to you by US Healthcare during preseason games....they make me long for the days of Don Criqui and Randy Cross
I didn't mean to single you out, man. I just meant that I was confused by the outrage in general.I wasn't really outraged by the comment, I don't really understand what he even really means by it. I was just pointing out the PFW show has gone down hill.
Sort of like Lewis is taking advantage of his popularity even though he really hasnt done anything.
When was the last time Lewis had a game that everyone talked about?
I made the thread due to Dion's response. You can't say it's something that you see everyday. When did "lot in life" become an issue around here?
Or pretty much every game he played in 2015 until he got injured. He was sensational.2016 Divisional Playoffs vs. Houston.
Perhaps you should ask a Patriots fan about this past season's AFC playoff game against the Texans........

I'd call you a moron but that would insult guys with IQs under 70.
Serious, think this through. It is the 4th qtr of preseason game #1. Cross and Criqui don't even mention who is in. You only know if they walk in front of the camera focused on Brady on the sideline.
Hate Hart and Perillo all you want, but they talk about guys that may or may not make the team. You know, the guys who are actually playing if you are still watching in the 4th quarter.
Instead of being told for the tenth time that Brady, Welker, and Moss are good, we hear about that UDFA CB that might squeak onto the practice squad. You know, what pre-season is about for anyone still watching the second half.
Of course they could tell us how Brady, Edelman, and Gronk are good players like Cross and Criqui would have.
Before you get all butthurt I had forgotten about that game.
Lewis played good but he used to be the talk of the NFL.
