Tuck Rule game is where the Brady/Patriots Dynasty began. It's also where the Hate began. There was a lot of outrage and it started an undermining of the Patriots success.

"Patriots got lucky"
"The game was fixed"
"Refs helped them out"

SB36 + SB38 were won by field goals. The defense was dominant.

"Brady is a system QB"
"Brady is overrated"
"You could put in any QB and they'd be successful with that defense"
"Vinatieri is the real MVP"

SB39

"McNabb was dry heaving on the sidelines"
"Philly wouldve won if Andy Reid could manage the clock"
"Eagles beat themselves"
"Owens played with a broken ankle and they still almost won"

10 YEARS WITHOUT A SB VICTORY, INCLUDING 2x LOSSES TO THE GIANTS:
(these are the years when Brady actually becomes the best QB in the league)

"Brady choked"
"Brady can't win the big one anymore"
"Patriots can't win without spying"
"Brady is 3-2 in Superbowls now"
"Brady fails to get that elusive 4th ring to tie him with Joe Montana as the GOAT"
"You can't say Brady is the best when he has less rings than Montana"
"The dynasty is over"

It started to feel like that 4th ring would never happen.

SB 49

Before the game:

"Brady can't win without Deflating balls"
"If Brady loses, he'll be 3-3 in SuperBowls"
"Seattle might be one of the best defenses ever"
"Seattle is the new dynasty"
"U MAD BRO?"

After Winning:

"Patriots only won because of the worst play call of all time"
"Butler won that game for the Pats, not Brady"
"Brady and Montana are 1a and 1b"

SB 51

The biggest comeback in Super Bowl History. The best comeback in NFL history.

There is really NOTHING anyone can say now. Tom Brady is the undisputed GOAT.

Would you have wanted that game to happen any other way?

"They just won because of the greatest choke job of all time."
Haters always find something.

yeah nothing about how Brady and BB made the best comeback in the history of sports.

Nope

just cheaters....

Only the biggest haters will say that. Any reasonable person knows Brady earned that one more than ever.

Why do we care what other people think? I live in Denver, know only a handful of pats fans IRL, and can enjoy the team simply by watching them. I don't care about what some brat heard from his soccer mom who heard from her husband when he was drunk watching ESPN. The talk is only amusing to me now.

Yes, 45-3 Patriots would have been great. That was a stressful night that didn't feel all that wonderful until the final moment, which obviously was amazing.

Glad they won, but I'm cool if they finally go out and blow the next opponent if they get there again. THAT would be a great way to round things out :D

But it was the largest margin of victory of the 5. :D

The complete polar difference in how Tom Brady's Patriots handled being down 28-3 compared to how Peyton Manning's Broncos handled being down 22-0 is so fitting.
Watching Aaron Rodgers falls into that category as well. The Packers were done and you could tell there was never any shot of them getting back in it.

And those biggest haters somehow work for national television. Two people, whose names i'm not going to mention, said that the Pats did not win this game, the Falcons lost it.

winning the game was glorious, but it feels strange

SB 49 was a slug fest, but 51 was straight misery for almost 3 quarters.

Just feels weird

I think it is very fitting that Brady picked up the team and carried it on his back to the 5th.

I would have preferred if our last 5 drives were our first 5 and we jumped out to a 25-0 lead, and cruised home, only because I could have relaxed more. But KNOWING WE WIN EITHER WAY, I would take the way it went.

Some people are still kinda doing the whole "The Patriots didn't win it so much as the other team lost it" mental gymnastics, but whatever. At this point, anyone who can look at 5 Super Bowl wins and still find a way to explain it away as a fluke is so delusional their opinions aren't even worth considering.

5 flukes in a row! Luckiest team ever!

Some people still saying Montana is still the GOAT because he was undefeated in super bowls and played nearly perfectly. lol

Just cannot argue with morons. Might as well argue with a brick wall.

It took 5 straight scoring drives to earn his 5th ring in the 5th qtr...

Well, we still have yet to win a SB comfortably. So that's on the bucket list.

Surpassing PIT's 6 SBs eventually? That too.

Oh and you're telling me we get the GOAT TE back next season while possibly landing a huge haul of draft picks on top of our 1st round pick this year?

Could this be a repeat of the 03/04 seasons?

As I've said before, we are just getting started. The ground work has been layed for BB/Tom. Now we get a chance to show the world that we are the greatest dynasty in the history of pro sports and start adding ring(s) to the other hand. The fact that all the Manning fans/Brady haters are on suicide watch is the icing on the cake. All this love for BB/Tom has got to be killing them, after having piled it on with ATL being up 28-3.

I hear the chorus of "Pats didn't win, Atlanta lost", and to be honest... I think there is "some" merit to that to the monumental collapse on Atlanta's part. Three freaking knell downs and a 30yd field goal would have probably iced it with 3:30 plus to go. And that's just one of a few brain farts Atl. had. It was an EPIC fail on the part of Atlanta. So you can see how it will get brought up.

.... and when it does, my argument is simply this. A comeback when you are down 28-3 with ~23 minutes to play requires several things to happen.... 1) Some mistakes by the leading team, which did happen 2) a bit of good juju from above (god is obviously a Patriot fan  3) (most importantly IMO) a QB and team that can absolutely capitalize on EVERY one of about 20-25 things that need to happen to in order to be victorious... That's what truly makes him the GOAT.

There is probably only 1-2 people that have every picked up a football that could have pulled that off (as the QB) in that spot.... e.g. a Super Bowl. There was absolutely zero margin for error, even with a few bonehead plays by Atlanta.... and TFB, BB and The Pats as a team were able to pull it off, and under the brightest of lights no less.

The two are not mutually exclusive. Atlanta did choke..... but their biggest mistake, was not any single play or miscue..... It was that they choked while playing against the GOAT. Who made them absolutely pay for every mistake they made.

Just my $0.02

Before Sunday whenever I read comments from other fans such as "Cheatriots" "Bellicheat", etc. it pissed me off. Now all I can do is laugh and say "really"? The image I get when I hear those monikers now is of an overweight, red-cheeked, sweaty 12 year-old getting pissed during kickball at school because got hit will the ball going to first to end the game.

Watching Aaron Rodgers falls into that category as well. The Packers were done and you could tell there was never any shot of them getting back in it.

Totally agree. Rodgers has always been a front-runner, capable of doing amazing, incredible things when the game is close or he's ahead, but never able to make a comeback win. When things go well, no problem. When things get tough, well...yeah. He has his share of 4th quarter comebacks, but they're always in one-possession games. When the team needs him to carry them, he fails, every single time.

Since he became a starter, Green Bay has trailed by more than one possession 23 times going into the 4th quarter. 21 of those games, he was the starter, and they are 0-21. Backup Matt Flynn led them to their only win and a tie when trailing by 9+ points going into the 4th.

Meanwhile, Tom ****ING Brady just led us back from 19 points down in the 4th to win a 5th Super Bowl. That's on top of his 10-point comeback against the #1 defense of the Seahawks 2 years ago.

Rodgers is the new Manning, awesome regular season stats, lots of playoff failures. He obviously won his ring, but hasn't done **** since, and is 6-7 in the playoffs apart from his one big playoff run. 10-7 overall in the playoffs, no big comebacks, only one championship...I am offended when he gets included in the GOAT conversation. He isn't even the best QB in his franchise's history (and maybe not even 2nd...I vote Starr, Favre, Rodgers). He has no place in the GOAT discussion.
