Re: Schlereth a complete Fraude and a Joke

Really do tell I where is it from? Is it possible that a liar actually created these tapes by himself please explain

iam sorry i meant to say the tapes were post edited after recording and was not just raw footage. which is enough to show it was not used in the same game.

Re: Schlereth a complete Fraude and a Joke

Kudos Pats fans for taking the fight right to the guys getting paid to talk up the allegations against your team. I'm impressed.

on a side note, beating the Broncos and their chop blocking assses on their home field in the AFC title game was sweet revenge for me.

Thanks! I'm curious as a Steelers fan, what is your take on this, specifically knowing we taped you guys in the AFC title game in 2002?

Re: Schlereth a complete Fraude and a Joke

I have seen on other Pats boards, the exact same response ! It's a form letter type response. What do you expect, a personal reply ? Can you imagine how many emails he's getting from Patriots fans ! LOTS !

I explained what I expected from him in my original post.

and that was that he does not have such an offensive auto response. As his offensive auto response had little to do with what I was asking him.

an auto response should be something like this 'thanks for emailing me because of the fact that a lot of people email here I can not respond to all but I do apreciate your feed back and will in time read all my emails.'

I mean seriously so you think that is an appropriate auto response to send out to any Patriot fan who asks him a question?

Thanks, man. I must say that as much as I dislike the Steelers I always pull for you guys when you play the Broncos or Colts, especially that year after the refs robbed us in Denver.

Does anyone have an email for Cris Carter?

Re: Schlereth a complete Fraude and a Joke

Mark Schlereth probably has an IQ hovering around 30, let's cut him some slack. :D
I think he played in the era when defensive linemen were still allowed to headslap offensive linemen. At least he acts like he was headslapped a few times too many. Or maybe he was dropped on his head as a baby. In any case, he is an idiot. Don't argue with him. You would have better luck by starting a letter campaign to get him fired.

I take solace in the fact that he crashed a motorcycle on camera this year for that ridiculous "New Year's No Limit" garbage ESPN served up.

Anyone else see that clip? I can't find it now but it is borderline priceless.

I emailed a few of things I had just hoping to get some sort of response from him, to see if he could defend himself against some of the things said about his Broncos, the Elway getting paid under the table and the Quote from Shanahan about sometimes deciphering the other teams signals by the end of the first quarter.

And he responded....I thought it was interesting that he responded even if his response was as off base as his TV comments. He kind of ignored the questions I was asking and just took a dig at the Pats and Belichick. So I responded back saying you ignored the questions I was asking and tried again for a response and he just Thanked me for the email, and ignored the question.

So far all is fine by me as I really didn't expect a response at all...But than in talking with FGSSAND I find out that he used the same stock response for both of us. Again would not be a big problem as I understand this to be customary except that the body of the response was far from customary.

Here is his Stock response

First off, I will add the entire email strings from both my question and FGS' and you will see his response does not answer any of the questions posed.
Second, a stock response is usually something simple like thanks for emailing me because of the fact that a lot of people email here I can not respond to all but I do apreciate your feed back and will in time read all my emails.

here is my email string

My initial email

his response

I sent back asking him to actually adress what I asked and I elaborated a little more.

and his response to that

FGS sent this

and his response to FGS

Anyone else get the same response????

I got the same response, what a fraud and a joke to say the list..

anyone else remember before the 2004 playoffs(SB 39) espn ran a segement which player is going to falter in the playoffs and schelerth picked brady because of "law of averages" ?
and this guy is the gospel of knowledge ?

No, but it's the exact response all Pats fans seem to be getting, I said it's LIKE a form letter response. My guess that kind of automation is over his head and he's copying and pasting like a madman !

The man actually believes "he knows what's up". Like he has some x-ray vision that allows him to see the truth.

What a clown!

Mark, if you're lurking like a coward....Eff Off. Man I wish he & I could put the gloves on & go at it! :D

I wrote to Schlereth as well and have yet to get a response. It could be because I didn't announce myself as a Patriots fan.

It will be interesting to see what the reply is. Especially since I confronted him on a few items that he's wrong on. Like the Broncos salary cap and steroid use, as well as the number of memos that were distributed.

Re: Schlereth a complete Fraude and a Joke

Good Question. My take is very unpopular on the Steelers Message board. I don't think the taping of signals helped during the game they were taped in. I highly doubt that there were tape sesssions at half time. There's barely enough time to get off the field, or out of your chair, get to the locker room, or to the bathroom and take a leak, or well, take a leak, let alone break down film.

So I feel that the punishment that was handed out, earlier in the 2007 season was viable, for the violations that were discovered, and for all past violations. A fine and loss of draft pick, I'm fine with. Some folks on this board think that was too much of a punishment, and think "they didn't do anything wrong" but I think they did. They taped signals of opposing coaches to use in later games. That was wrong, according to the NFL.

As long as there is nothing else, no "walkthrough" no "communications tampering" or "no alien abductions" or other things people blame the Pats for, I'm cool. I look forward very much to our game in 08. I want very badly to beat you guys on the field of battle. The Steelers fans will of coarse make fun of Pats fans, and what not, but really, we don't have any reason to be jealous, and we know it. 5-3. That's my take on it at this point.

The Pats didn't beat the Steelers because of taping signals. The Pats beat the Steelers because of many on the field game time events. I remember each time we lost to you, including when Curtis Martin shredded our defense and the time when our Special Teams decided to get off the short bus. It happens, I have moved on. I still want to "rip out your hearts" and "Crush your spines" and "smash in your teeth" but that's all in my personal style of gamesmanship. I don't want the Pats banned, or fined more, or fired, or suspended. I want the Steelers to beat you on the field.

Re: Schlereth a complete Fraude and a Joke

My email to Mr. Schlereth:

Mark,

I happen to have in my possession a copy of the "America's Game" episode dedicated to the 1998 Denver Broncos superbowl victory that highlighted several memorable moments, like Terrell Davis' getting past the 2000 yard barrier, Elway's tearful retirement and you... well, talking about puking. I came away from that with a certain amount of respect for you after seeing you reminisce about the event. You seemed both honest and likeable, like most players who get the chance to be on "America's Game".

I saw you on ESPN the other day bashing my team's brains in for spygate and cheating. Yeah, I'm used to it by now. Every yahoo from the world of sports "journalism" has put in their 2 cents. And don't get me wrong: I think it was wrong what Belichick did, but knowing him to be who he is, I wasn't all too surprised. I would never hold Belichick in the same light I held players such as yourself. He's like an odd mix between Spock and Cheney and is better served by his reputation for being a cloak and dagger tactician. So if you told me Belichick ate babies in order to win games, I'd probably be appalled, but there'd be something Belichick-esque about it. But I respect him because he's true to himself and, well, there's something about a coach who wears the most deadpan expression while wearing the most atrocious garb on the sidelines. The man has a sense of humor, even if you'd have to put his thumbs in screws before he'd admit it.

When ESPN got on the spygate controversy, I watched all the talking heads spout, as expected, from Tom Jackson to Skip Bayliss (Skip Bayliss? Talk about bag of insight), and I was pleasantly surprised by Keyshawn and confused by Emmitt. But when you spoke, I was curious to hear what you said, because you were Mark Schlereth from "America's Game". Even if I couldn't bring myself to agree wholeheartedly, I felt you had a point in chiding the Patriots as you did. I personally don't think Belichick would willfully do something that could undermine his ability to coach his players to win games, and I believed him when he said there was no Rams walkthrough.

So, yeah, Belichick taped division and conference rivals' defensive signals. However, the subjects being taped were often aware of it and played along, which would call into question how honest an attempt at cheating this would be. Also, as shown in an article by scouts inc., but also up on ESPN's website, the person who'd benefit the most, if at all, would be the game scout, and only because it was a glorified shortcut.

Yes, I'm a Patriots' homer.

But Mark, you were a player, and you should know how difficult it would be to get any real in-game benefit from taping. You keep asking, "Well, why did Belichick do it and go to such lengths to do so?" Why does Belichick still have Tom Brady on the injury report after all these years? Why is he so secretive about contracts and the overall operation he runs in Foxboro? Well, Mark, I'm sure if you were the head coach of the Patriots, you wouldn't do these things, because you're Mark Schlereth, much in the same way I don't think Belichick would do your job the same way if he were a pundit on ESPN. Have you seen the guy behind a podium?

The truth is, us Patriots fans have had a lot worse and could still do a lot worse than Belichick for a head coach. He got us to the superbowl 4 times and we won 3 of those. He has few friends and isn't the best conversationalist, buy he's a damn good coach, and part of that is because he's so thorough about everything he does. Even when he breaks the rules, he's thorough about it. So, I can live with spygate and the hypocrites and the homers, much like you made do with the Broncos' victories in the late 90s, even though they were shafting the salary cap to pay Elway and Davis.

But back to you, Mark. I must say my opinion of you changed over the last couple of months, because I know I couldn't rag on a team for breaking any rule. That's the legacy spygate left me. If the Jets played the Patriots tomorrow and beat them while using phasers and forcefields, I wouldn't in good conscience be able to say a thing, because my team also broke the rules. What legacy did salary cap-gate leave you, Mark Schlereth?

-T.

Re: Schlereth a complete Fraude and a Joke

My email to Mr. Schlereth:

Your reply...

Quote:
Your coach received not one but two memos from the league that all 32
teams received to stop taping signals...he ignored it...he lied about
it...Your organization said it only taped divisional opponents and in
the 8 tapes that Matt Walsh turned over 3 were non-divisional
opponents...So I'm supposed to take the organization at it's word that
they never used the tapes during games to gain an unfair competitive
advantage...Please!

Wanna bet?

Re: Schlereth a complete Fraude and a Joke

I'm not even expecting a response, but if that's what I get, then it would prove that he at least got my message. I also countered the stock response in one of my arguments in the email, so he'll either help support the argument that he's a moron, or have to give a different type of response.

It's a great letter. Well done:)
