Brett Favre told David Letterman on the Late Show that he feels "something's bound to happen" when training camp time rolls around.

Letterman asked him what he meant. "I don't know," Favre responded. "Did I just say that?...Butterflies, or - I don't know, something's bound to happen." Favre really isn't doing much to diffuse speculation he may feel the urge to play in 2008. His official retirement papers still aren't in.

They should use Bledsoe for ole times sake!

Madden's man love for Farve is rather strange and fascinating. Out of all the great players currently in the league he goes for Farve, who no longer plays. Rather funny in a way.

Couldn't have said it better myself! The picture below has these thoughts summed up rather nicely I think.

i knew it.

Brett is such a jerkoff.

Every year he pulls the same stunt, days before the draft.

Actually Favre is a great choice. At his point the curse is well documented and players don't want to be on the cover. Farve may have been asked to appear on it before and turned it down. Why not honor a player that just retired and is a lock for the hof?

That is different than putting Bledsoe who doesn't belong in the HOF or Marino who retired eons ago. This could be a new trend. The best retiring players gets placed on the cover. No curse and an idol is honored. I expect there won't be a home in Wisc that doesn't own a copy of Madden'09, even those that don't have game consoles....
