Alright, guys, let's not turn this into a serious debate and ruin the thread's purpose. The thread was meant for tongue in cheek humor. The serious debate is in the other Matt Walsh thread.

So why didn't you originally put this on the main page.

Note: I am the only sick individual who picked kill his family in front of him.

Because I was in the Draft Forum at the time the thread idea hit me.

"Kill his wife and child in front of his eyes".

YEAH!

Come on, guy. That crossed a line, even if the others didn't.

Regards,
Chris

LOL, then why did you vote for it?

How about not sicking ex-FBI agents on him or making threats to sue him and let him come forward and speak with whatever he has or doesn't have so that this whole matter can be put to bed one way or another. Or is that too reasonable? If you're a "no" on that, my follow up question is what are you afraid of then?

What's your follow up question? Don't tell me, I'll guess - You're Matt Walsh and you need to know how to legally change your name? Give Steven Bartman a call, he'll help you thru the process.

How about taping conversations with your boss does that sound normal to you. I don't think the Commonwealth and the federal government think so. Theft is the least of Walsh's worries.

Depends on what you're talking about and the circumstances--if it involved making sure someone didn't take the rap on something bad he'd been asked to do by his boss, then some might see nothing wrong with that solely as self-defense.

In terms of it being illegal, that actually depends on the state. Some states require two party consent to taping phone discussions for ex., while others only require that one party (here, Walsh) have consented to the taping for it to be legal. NY, for ex., allows it with only one party consent I believe. No idea which way Mass. goes on that.

Then friend Walsh should taped his conversation in NY state because Mass is a 2 party state. Don't think for a moment there isn't public sentiment in Mass to do it.:rocker:

Here's the link. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3248267

Here's the relevant part:

"Walsh's attorney said his trust of the NFL is an issue after learning that a league security officer and former FBI agent, **** Farley, had interviewed two of Walsh's former co-workers at a Cape Cod golf course in Massachusetts. Walsh, 31, has been an assistant golf pro at several courses in New England and Arizona since leaving the Patriots. He currently works at a course on Maui.

"Sending a former FBI agent to investigate his professional and personal life has not left Mr. Walsh feeling confident that the National Football League simply wants to encourage him to come forward with whatever information he has,'' Levy said."

Read much beyond this board? If not, that might explain your Bizzaro World world view where the Pats are always the victims. Who's spewing crap now?

On the stealing point, I could also link you to an article by Peter King (normally a Pats homer) who printed a letter recently from another guy in pro sports videotaping who said that it's normal practice for most video guys to have a good bit of the work they've done on tape at home. Does that make it right, you make the call, but either way, it doesn't sound like Walsh is that abnormal for having the tape among those in his profession.....

Yeah, I read plenty beyond this board, thanks. And a quote from an ESPN article doesn't mean much. They have made up stories before...kind of like the one we are discussing right now. I am not saying it is untrue, but if ESPN is the only one reporting it, there is a chance it could be crap. Also, someone trying to find out more about Matt Walsh is nothing new. Maybe they found out about when he played that "joke" on his old roommates GF that could have maimed her.

And in what world is Peter King a Pats homer? He is a Steeler homer if anything, and brought up Spygate EVERY WEEK in his MMQB article until week 12 or 13.

Fanetic is referencing a story by Mike Fish, Walsh's bosom buddy. The only way is could be any more unreliable is that if Easterbrook contributed to it.

You must be one of those misplaced, "Patriot-obsessed", Indystar Colts rejects aimlessly wandering the streets of cyber-space with your soapbox under one arm looking for a place to whine. Is that you Gilbert?

I'm afraid of people that can't spell "fanatic" and then use it as a screen name.

You impugned my honesty and asked for a link, I provided one. That same story was reported by other media folks as well. Around here sounds like unless the Globe reports it straight from the Pats' mouth it's not believed.

On the Globe's scurrilous character hatchet job, and not to make too much light of it, but "could have maimed her"? With a blender blade? Not sure what kind of blenders you use, but I think the word "maimed"'s"s a little hyperbolic don't you? The blender blades I've seen would have a tough time cutting through butter.

On King, he grew up in northwestern CT, rooting for the Sox and, from his writings I'd guess the Pats. He loves the Pats, Manning and Favre--every column has at least one of the above. Interestingly, he's been pretty even-handed on Spygate, I must admit, but he normally just gushes over Belichick, Kraft and Brady.

...excuses excuses blah blah everybody look at me...

I suppose if the same thing had happened, but the Bills were the team in question, you would be saying the exact same things. I highly doubt it.

Look at the website in your browser address bar. It's www.PATSFANS.com, not www.footballfans.com. If most of us are pro-Patriots...well, gee, what the hell did you expect? And why come here, anyway? Do you think you are going to change our minds? Or do you just like to be the anti establishment "look at me my opinion is different" guy?

Oh,and at least one of his columns has one thing about the Pats, Favre, or Manning? Well, what did you expect, they were the 3 main stories for the last 5 years of the NFL (Pats dynasty, Manning's records and SB win, Favre's resurgence this year). And since when did rooting for the Sox have anything to do with being a Pats fan?

Lock him in a room for a month with a TV playing football analysis by Mark Schlereth, John Clayton and Merril Hoge in an infinite loop.

I'm actually a Bills fan, so if the Bills had done the things the Pats are accused of, I'd be ashamed of it, not suspending my disbelief to support them no matter what anyone else said (rational or irrational).

I come here to talk football and to inject a little itty bit of objectivity into the discussion. It was a poll, I gave my answer and was attacked for it and responded. No more, no less.

PS On King, read his columns and you're left with little doubt that he grew up a Pats fan--on your question of Sox and Pats, isn't a little obvious that most Boston fans root for both teams?

This guy sounds an awful lot GordonBumway from buffalobills.com

I want to know if I can drive the dump truck.

And by the way, what's this doing in the main forum? :singing:

The other two are tools, but Schlereth is not all that bad.

So what I said was "attacking" you, but what Matt Walsh did to his roommates gf was "just a joke"? At least be consistent. And why would you be "ashamed" about the Bills breaking a rule and getting fined? The Pats broke a rule, got punished, end of story. Except for the rest of America who won't stop babbling about it like it was some covert operation to undermine the whole league.

Let's see; I can believe Jimmy Johnson, Sean Salisbury, Keyshawn Johnson, Bill Parcells, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, ect about the whole thing not being a big deal. OR, I can believe footballfanetic and be "ashamed". Call me crazy, but I will go with the guys who used to be in the NFL as opposed to what you and the mediots (Peter King, Pete Prisco, Tomase, Easterbrook, Matt Fish, Dr. Z, all the dummies at the NY Post, NY Daily News, NY Times, and NY Newsday...those are who I can think of off the top of my head) have to say.

Sorry for "attacking" you, BTW. I am suprised you haven't flown down to Jersey to hunt me down after the disgusting things I was saying.
