Just an interesting thought: when the Steelers threatened the Patriots' just established streak of 18 regular season wins, the Patriots were given the chance to derail the Steelers (and they did). So, I was wondering--might something like that happen this year?

Right now, the Pats outright own the record for consecutive regular-season wins, at 19. The all-time record for games without defeat is 25, by the now-defunct Canton, OH team; the all-time record among extant franchises is 24 games, by the Bears (whom the Pats do not play this season).

The Pats' home record stands at 11 games in a row; the franchise record is 21, which isn't even in the top three. Needless to say, this record is not in danger next year.

But here's where the interesting stuff comes in: the Patriots also have a 10 game road streak. There have only been four streaks that are longer: three teams are tied at 11 games, while the record is 18 games . . . by San Francisco (who also had an 11-game road win streak).

So, since if the Pats could tie that record next season, I'm going to go ahead and predict this: one of the Patriots' last two road games will be against San Francisco.

I predict the Pats have a night game on the west coast the week before going to indy.

in 2005 the pats had a SNF game against the bills the week before the indy game, and indy did have a bye. 2006 pats played a MNF game at minnesota, then had the indy game sunday

With 4 west coast games, there's a good chance one of those will proceed the Indy game.

Why do you think it will be against the 9ers?

Because, if the Pats win all their road games, they'll tie the Niners' record for longest road win streak (18 games).

True, but both of them were night games.

And the game wil be on Thanksgiving, on NFL network.

I don't think they will ever put an important game on NFLN again after the hoops they had to jump through last year.

I'm pretty sure they're playing the 49ers at Foxboro.

you are mistaken, the Pats travel to San Fran to play the Niners this year.

Remember, the last time the Pats played the AFC West was in 2004, and the Pats hosted the Niners in the season finale in which they won 21-7 in a meaningless game.

I don't care HOW many games we win in a row. Lets just win the LAST game we play and get another SB.

The EAGLES should play on Thanksgiving day night - just to give Spector some integeston.....
