dont attack me, i am sane, and i am not just suffering from a heartbreaking loss...

but, what if the NFL just did not want us to win the SB? the officiating can easily be called shady...if u want examples, ask...

and the way our offense seemed like it did not try...was something wrong with BB?

BB can be called the best coach to ever participate in the NFL, why did he not give brady more protection with TE's when the line was struggling? why did he not kick a FG when he had a chance? Why is it that he never went to a 5 wide set, so that the lb fire blitz which had killed us all night could lose effectiveness? why did he not allow the offense to make 15 and 20 yd completions in the middle of the field with 3 TO's left at the end?

all i can say is, very uncharactiritic of BB, b/c they are all dumb decisions (in more then just hindsight) and ones which he is not known to make....

and all i ask is why this game? coincidence? for some reason i cant accept that

What did the refs and NFL have to do w/ your o-line getting lit up?

Nothing, unfortunately...

It's just a process, someday when the fat turd is gone and Bill has retired here you may experience a SB loss again, and then you'll know...

I saw no problem with the officiating save for three close/tough calls:

1) The non-call O Interference penalty against Burress for shoving Hobbs helmet away on one long reception.

2) The botched no whistle when Pierre Woods clearly recovered the fumble - - only to have the Giants player wrestle it away from him several seconds after he had cleanly pounced and controlled it.

3) The illegal procedure call on Watson when the DL clearly jumped first.

Outside of that, it seemed to me a pretty well-called game.

No conspiracies, just a bad tactical move by BB.

Sure, BB can be called the best coach. Just not this season. It was downright idiotic for him to sell out for an undefeated regular season and not rest his starters in that final game against the Gints. A huge tactical mistake. His OL was beaten up, Brady was beaten up, yet he stubbornly made them play.

Playing all-out that game gave the Giants the edge it needed for the Super Bowl in preparation. Even Belichick would figure the Giants' chances of winning 3 in a row on the road were worth the effort.

what

this makes no sense.

coughlin was a genius for playing his starters but belichick an idiot? when coughlin has nothing on the line and belichick has 16-0?

the nfl is looking to change the game to make every regular season game matter for a reason, so this stupid argument never comes up.

You should cease posting until you get a clue. The Giants won because they didn't rest. The Colts and Cowboys lost because they rested too much. We had the bye, that was two weeks rest which is all any team can really tolerate without rusting. And maybe even that was too much for our Oline who looked like they perhaps rusted. Brady wasn't beaten up in week 17, he got beat up in week 19 and fairly pummeled in week 20.

we're all processing this loss in our own way, so i respect your way. but, i disagree. there were some bad coaching decisions. there were a couple of close officiating calls that could have gone either way, but nothing egregious or really bad.

that doesn't change the fact that they beat us at the end, when it counted.

we start to sound like sore losers by looking for conspiracies. let's move on.

The Gints players didn't need the rest. They weren't beaten up and tired like our team was.

Brady should not have played that game.

OK, now you're just posting without thinking.

The Giants had NO BYE afterwards. The Patriots DID.

They had two players injured during the game. The Patriots DIDN'T.

You're just throwing stuff against a wall at this point.

i still wouldnt be surprised if polian had a say in the way the officiating came down. i guess it must be me who is a sore loser for saying that just because the officials are always flag happy for the colts.

who here really doubts that could be a possibility ?

reading some of his other posts, i'm convinced it's a troll pretending to be a crappy pats fan.

You can't be serious. If you are 15-0, you HAVE to try to get the history. Plus, who made the Super Bowl? That's right, the only two teams who played a FULL 16 game schedule.

as these games go, the officiating was above average.

no, something was wrong with the Oline.

He did, the TE's got run over too. He apparently doesn't trust the PK at that distance even indoors, but it was a mistake - even he makes them occasionally. If you're QB is getting killed in 4 wide, the last thing you do is go 5 wide. They weren't killing us with their blitz, it was rushing 4 more often than not and winning the physical matchups at the LOS. 15-20 yard completions aren't some given. Guys were covered, as the were all night, because they didn't even have to send more than 4-5 to beat our line. Brady was sacked almost at the snap on the second snap. So in the end, you go to your best playmaker and hope he makes a play. He didn't. It happens. You're spoiled and deluded if you don't grasp that.

Just like it is what it is, **** happens. Grow up. We don't always win and it's not always some conspiracy. There were those who tried to do their best to distract this team over the weekend, but they weren't on the field and it wasn't the league's idea for them to marr their marquee event of the season.

Sorry for quoting a troll, mods. No Pats fan can be this dumb.

Apparently not everyone, unfortunately. The officiating was fine.

THe officials just let them play. They didn't make themselves the story, which was good.

THe clock screw ups on the final drive were less than stellar though.
