Parade to Honor ’72 Dolphins and Giants

MIAMI – The Miami Department of City Planning has announced that on Friday, February 8th at noon there will be a parade to celebrate the New York Giants Super bowl win and the sole perfection status of the ’72 Dolphins. Formally known as the “Reeboks:Still Perfect Parade.”

According to city spokesperson Stacy Legacy unlike the New York parade and since canceled Boston parade the planning for this Parade did not begin until Monday. We got a huge number of calls from residents asking if and when the parade would be held. “At first we rejected the idea, as the Dolphins didn’t actually win anything, but after the 30th call we started to reconsider.”

The Parade will feature players from this year’s World Champion New York Giants, the ’72 Dolphins and even a few players from this year’s Dolphins squad.

In exchange for picking up the cost of police overtime the Reeboks Corporation received naming rights for the parade.

Eli Manning several other of this years Giants team will be on hand. Manning said, “this is a great honor, and would be great to share this success with the ‘sixth borough of New York.” Older brother Peyton and his father Archie will also be on hand for the filming of a commercial.

Legacy also explained that “many fans wanted us to throw a victory parade after the triumphant win over the Ravens, this parade will honor them too.”

Parade starts at 12:00 noon at NE 2nd Avenue and 35th Street.
Proceeds South on NE 2nd Avenue,
East on NE 15th Street,
South on Biscayne Boulevard,
West on NE 12th Street, North on NE 1st Avenue and e
Ends at the Festival Site/stage on NE 17th Street.

are you ******* serious?

I think it's stupid and "FUNNY" all at the same time. I guess that this was Miami's Super Bowl too.
Guys let's move on. Let these guys have their fun. It's none of our business. It's the offseason. I've turned the page on this since Tuesday. I'm more concerned with what we are going to do with that #7 pick in the draft.

Well - I don't think I'll be wearing Reebok anytime soon

Thats absolutely f*cking pathetic. Seriously, thats is big time pathetic. I've just had a right laugh reading about the parade, seriously small time. If I was a citizen of Miami I'd be embarassed. The people of Miami celebrating the Giants win whilst still living in the past because their team and people have nothing of note present day apart from nice weather or Dwayne Wade.

I highly doubt it'll just be New Englanders and Pats fans thinking this is pathetic, I bet fans from a few teams will...

Seriously, you've got to be joking...Some funny sh!t.

The Giants deserve to celebrate. Don Shula, however, should pitch forward onto his face while clutching his chest, and Mercury Morris should be hit by a car.

that is hilarious.

I love the part about the parade for beating the ravens.

hahahahahaha....I love this country!
and hate it at the same time....

What is priceless is that none the 07 Dolphins can show their face at this parade because of the embarrassment.

Maybe Aqua will be the Grand Marshall.

If there are truly Football Gods, the current Miami Dolphins will not have another winning season until the the last '72 Dolphin is dead.

I'm not trying to be vindictive at all, in fact I wish them all extraordinarily long life and health.

This is such a joke.

I will NEVER wear Reebok again.

My brother ( A Dolphins fan from the 70's) left my sister and me a message that Mercury Morris called. Idiot.

Losers.

I think that most fans of other teams would agree, but this is an absolute joke!

That's about as low as you can go............ they have no dignity whatsoever.

I wish for Don Shula to have a heart attack, but then I'd be like them. So I won't

You are right. It is an absolute joke. It is called satire.

OMG, most of the time I get spotted almost immediately on my satire pieces. People are falling hook, line an sinker.

No link, some typos. Not to mention the complete implausibility. :bricks:

You got to admit this would make a great onion piece, but I beat them to it.

This is really pathetic, beyond pathetic if Miami holds a parade for the "72 fins and the Giants. The fins can't win so they hold a parade in honor of one of the last vestiges of ther days in the limelight. I hope this season has put a few years on these old guys streesing about thier record for all these months.

See, now that's hilarious!

The 72 Dolphins would try something like that...when you really think about it. And Shula...he wasn't that great of a "big game" coach. Check his SB record. The guy went 2-4 in the big game. Including losing to the Jets. in the Biggest Upset in SB History.

I have to admit to doing a double-take on this!

But in the defense of the people who do take it as real...we have been getting kicked in the nuts so much lately it wouldn't be a surprise if something like this was done to give us another shot.

I'll admit, I didn't read the whole thing, but even if it was true, why would I dare to. My opinion is low of those asshats, that nothing would shock me at this point.

The fact that it seemed entirely plausible should speak for itself.
