The only person I've ever heard make a serious statement about the '72 Dolphins being a better team than the 2007 Pats, 1985 Bears, 1984/1994 49ers is Mercury Morris.

If you just look at the size differential between the 72 Dolphin team and current NFL teams is pretty amazing. I'm not sure the 72 Dolphin team could be any 2007 NFL team. That's not intended to detract from their great 72 season.

Agreed. Its like 30-40lbs per person on the lines. The players now are just so much better physically.
