Whether that limp is real, who knows. If it is he shouldn't play but he may have been playing it up for the camera.

gimme a break. everyone on this board would be making fun of him. the bottom line is.... we have no cloue how long he has a partial tear. it could be weeks. we have no idea how serious it is. we are not dr's and no one has seen the mri results.

so i give the guy credit for at least giving it a try. if he last two snaps and decides he can't go then i'm sure the chargers prepared with volek also

This is the quickest way to find out early on if he is mobile enough to avoid pressure and those knees can handle playing a full game.

I want to beat this team with all their stars playing,so there will be no exuses from them!

If the rumor of the acl injury is true then this is weird. If true he would have trouble with lateral movement....and being a QB in the pocket with an acl injury to his plant leg would be disastrous. If he is throwing ducks to start out we know it's true, and he'll be replaced soon.

Ridiculous. He has never been this close to a Superbowl and who knows if he ever will again. It's in no way selfish when he is risking it all to help his team try to get to a Superbowl.

Sportscenter was stating game time decision all show but Eisen said at about 12:35 that Rivers was going to start.
