If you kept the team whole except Manning replacing Brady at QB,Is this team still 17-0 this year?

No.

Any other QB for the Patriots this year, and they aren't 17-0.

Montana, Unitas, you name 'em. I fully believe this as well.

In my opinion the answer is a resounding "No". I really feel Brady is a better leader, is better at knowing and sticking to the gameplan, and is less likely to take unnecessary chances.

Manning is great, but for this year and this team, I don't think he would have won every game, particularly Baltimore and Philly.

No that wasn't me who said yes, why do you say that.... oh wait, carry on.

F#CK NO!

We heard all the crap about how Peyton would have done what Tom did all these years if only Peyton had a great defense.

You don't get much better than #1 defense, Colt trolls.

Manning is an average playoff QB. He is good when it doesn't matter.

I'd say no. Brady can almost 'will' the team to win even when all seems lost. Manning, with all his greatness, isn't Brady.

I don't see Manning winning either the NYG, Philly, or Baltimore games. His nuts shrivel up into his body when it matters most.

We go 16-1, sweep the regular season then he throws 7 ints to Jax.

with manning or brady, i say yes... a great qb will make a team a contender but with a great qb and having the greatest coach (belichick)ever will make a team a multi-time champs and have a perfect season...

I only say yes because he would have some awesome weapons to work with and and BB as coach, yes I am giving BB props because he has the killer attitude that would rub off onto Manning and make him better then he is now. Maybe thats a homer opinion.

No.

In all likelihood, they're 13-4.

For all the obvious reasons....

who cares ...manning is history

Manning is a great QB. Manning is a different QB. Brady is the QB of the Patriots and along with his teammates, is responsible for their success this season.

Not for nothing, but did anyone notice Manning's demeanor in the pocket on Sunday against the Chargers? He had the worst case of happy feet I've seen from him in a long time. He was tapping them so fast, I thought he'd have to change cleats at halftime. Never realized what a great candidate he'd be for "Dancing with the Stars."

IndyColts685,
As one of the few Colts fans on this forum who aren't homers, honest question; is the Payton we saw in the second half of the AFCCG last year THE REAL Payton (you know, FINALLY getting the 10,000 pound gorilla off of his back), or rather the one who is now 7-7 in the playoffs, twice losing AT HOME coming off the bye week, once as the #1 seed, once as the #2?

I'd ask that clambrain Carlina Colts Fan the same question, but he's currently curled up in the fetal position under his bed after that massive choke job Sunday..............

Four people said yes? They must not have watched the Colts-Chargers, I guess. Peyton "First and Goal on the Five and Can't Pass It In Using Four Downs" Manning has reverted to the gag artist he used to be before last year.

Manning had years of Harrison-Wayne-Stokely-Clark-James, and he did crap. Brady would have taken any of those teams to the SB. Cripes Brady won it with Troy "Old Man" Brown, Daved "AFL" Patten, Fred "XFL" Coleman, Antowain "Pokey" Smith, and the dynamic duo of Rod "Can't Catch" Rutledge and Jerrmaine "Can't Block" Wiggins.

Who are these four morons, anyway?

This is like asking if you married the other good looker whether you would have been as happy with her or not.

But as soon as you're with the other one all the circumstances change and you are facing a whole new set of problems or benefits, none of which can be compared to the current looker without living with both of them and comparing the same situations. The same situations? It can't happen.

Comparing QBs in two different situations is risky business. There will be no lack of opinion, but I doubt that the opinions of homers ever settled anything one way or the other.

I think he will still have a good season, but he won't be able to win all 17 games. Specially the Baltimore game on Monday night.

Oh, come on! All Manning really needed was to have a top defense like the Pats to win multiple superbowls, set an all time win streak, go undefeated, do everything like Brady only better.

Errrrr.....never mind.

No.

And if Tony Dungy were coach, after going 14-0 the Pats would have laid down to rest for the playoffs.
