Gotcha--read it wrong. By the way--you're being called an idiot in the Jags are dumb thread.

Yeah...I don't spend much time on this board anymore, and haven't gotten into an argument with a troll in about four years. I must be grumpy today to not just ignore that imbecile.

Record of '07 Jags after falling behind by more than seven points: 0-4

That is a huge stat right there. While it's true that it indicates the Jags have only trailed by more than 7 four times, the fact that they have failed to comeback from more than a TD deficit even ONCE is pathetic. This game is ALREADY over.

From his column today. I think this really shows how much things are stacked against Jax. Esp. their record when down 7 or more. Yikes.

Those are awesome numbers, but as overwhelming as they are, they still don't act as a sure predictor.

They are awesome numbers, though, and Jags bettors should beware. 13 points normally sounds like a "take the points" bet, but I really wouldn't try it. Brady and Moss can put up 14 points in 60 seconds, and if it's one those kinds of nights, sayonara to your farm.

Jags are 1-6 since 2005 on turf.

The last time the Pats lost a HOME playoff game.....

1978:rocker:

Random appeance by the fans of a team that isn't playing in January...AGAIN!

They didn't do much playing in September, October, November or December either......from what I saw..

He's not an imbecile or a troll.

He had some excellent points, which you disputed by saying a coach's record has nothing to do with how good he is.

While it may not be the absolute deteriminant, it most certain does have a strong correlation. Pointing out a solitary pairing as an exception only shows how rare the exception is, one example among many, many coach-coach head-to-head histories.

BTW: It generally isn't grumpiness that causes people to label others as imbeciles for not agreeing with them, though.

Umm... he was calling a Jag fan who was insisting that Brian Billick was the last coach to win a playoff game an imbecile. Not anybody on this thread.

....butting out......

you said:

The only thing this tells me, is that they lost three of those four games because they didn't have their starting QB playing: (Texans in the final sit-week, Saints, Colts#1).

The only one of those four games they lost with their QB playing, was the second Colts game, where they went down 14 early because of a fumble and a missed field goal, and lost the game 25-28.

It's important to put these statistics into perspective, because that stat means a lot less when you bring up the QB factor tbh... I think the fact that 3 of those 4 games have this common factor, pretty much explains it.

Impressive stats.

What do they say in the stock market?..."Past Performance is not Indicative of Future Returns".

It really means nothing being 16-0 if they don't prove it on the field saturday night.

All of which, of course, means Jack Squat come tomorrow.

I guess It's not an original idea on my part.

Come on, you know me better than that. Tom's a great poster, and I'd never call him an imbecile, nor he or any other Pat fan a troll.

Read the entire thread, man. Or at least the response I was replying to, which is in the "quote" box right above the sentence you took offense to.

Sorry, Tom, if you also took it that way. I wasn't referring to you.
