Last time we were there was the Covid season and the last time Cam Newton played QB at the NFL level instead of whatever that was after that. Still a head scratcher…
Threw the ball great and then started throwing it into the ground...one of the craziest things I've ever seen from a QB. Although I went from feeling bad for him to writing him off, especially after his comments about Maye (who idolized him as a kid) last year.
Obviously, Brown is going to see a lot of attention tonight. Who is the surprise WR / TE who comes up with the big game while they're focused on him? Wonder if it's a big Doubs night...or maybe Henry. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out.
Darnold has to step up tonight and defend the Seattle title. Conversely, Maye has to man up and play a game that shows America that "Im better than that SB60 performance." If Maye is going to succeed Brady he needs to earn it IMO. It all begins tonight and we begin to find out who Maye is - Bledsoe or Brady.

Emmanwori being out is a boon. If the (hopefully) improved OL can do a better job and give Maye time, as well as get a little push for Stevenson, the offense should be able to be much more productive.
On the other side, Kenneth Walker is gone and Charbonnet is on PUP, so their run game isn’t very scary or at least it shouldn’t be. Hopefully the dogs up the middle can get after Darnold and Gonzo can lock down JSN.

Brown 5 for 72 anyway. No score. Woo hoo, party in Seattle. "Shut your boy down."
Doubs - the favorite to get the attention, gets 3 grabs for 59 yards.
Douglas - the slot machine, 5 for 62
Williams - the dark horse - 3 for 61 and a TD
Hollins - 2 for 19
Henry - 2 for 23 and a TD
I’m glad Maye finally decided to go white-blue-white (socks) instead of white-blue-blue. I hated it; it kinda threw me off all last season..but he played so great, I let it slide lol
