Yay it's Goalpostgate

In Baltimore... hmmmm

In Baltimore... hmmmm

but but but but... the Patriots.... THE PATRIOTS ARE EVIL

Well, it is no different with Drake. Apparently, he cannot figure out Cover 6.

One guy replied calling him Mac Jones 2.0, said he'd be a backup in two years and out of the league in five.

saw that... dude broke his arm trying to pat himself on the back with that one...

Is this a thread where people post complete garbage from random dipshits?

Look at what TJ from Tallahassee said.......

This may have usurped "Brady wearing a scuba suit under his uniform is cheating" as the dumbest "accusation" I've seen.

Is this guy related to the dumb**** who said Belichick had a secret video board installed 200 feet beyond the lighthouse so he could look at replays before challenging a play?

First, during most of the dynasty era, there was only one Jumbotron in Gillette. And it was relatively tiny at least by NFL standards. The second Jumbotron was installed in 2010. So for the entire first part of the Dynasty, only one end zone had a jumbotron and the other end had a Jumbotron that was smaller and not really in the line of site of the kicker.

Second, since the beginning of football, fans in the end zones have made noise and waved towels and other objects to distract opposing kickers which is perfectly legal. One team even gives out towels at games that are the same exact color as the goal posts (cough! cough! The Steelers) which could be more distracting than the Jumbotron.

Third, I am not aware of any rule that states that this practice is illegal. I am sure other teams did it. And why wouldn't they? If they knew the Pats were doing it and getting away with it, other teams would too.

Fourth, unless you show more than a handful of screen shot showing that the Patriots did this practice consistently and they consistently didn't do it when the Patriots were making field goals, then it may be misleading info.

Fifth, the whole disparity between field goal percentages between the Patriots and their opponents is misleading. Percentages don't mean anything out of context. Did teams that played the Patriots kick significantly more field goals than the Pats? Were opposing teams kicking longer field goals than the Patriots were? My guess is during the dyansty years, teams that played the Patriots had to settle for more field goals and take longer distance field goal attempts to keep up with Brady and the offense.

You realize, of course, that because the goal posts are in front of the screens, by quite a bit, that depending on the angle of your view point, the goal posts will change amounts they are off regardless of whether they are straight on. This is just silly.

Living rent-free in their teeny tiny brains, for a quarter of a century.

The fake outrage machine was working overtime on Felger and Mazz. At least on Felger's side.

Trollin Volin desperately wanted the League to tell him that it was illegal and they were starting an investigation. Condolences Ben.

It’s a BALLROOM. Gaw!

I guess that’ll be our 27, 28, and 29 first rounders, even though there’s no actual rule being broken.

Kinda awesome that a dynasty that ended more than seven years ago is still dominating the news cycle whenever they get mentioned.

Also, "analysis" of most anything to do with the NFL sucks. Good lord. A simple search of other teams' footage would show...not much at all. At least they got their clicks...

My first instinct was to conclude that Ryan Paganetti was a loser who missed the days from 10-20 years ago when making up Patriots scandals was a cottage industry. I had never heard of him, so I did a little digging and found that he grew up in Massachusetts and graduated from Dartmouth. He was/is a Patriots fan, but this forum proves that there are a segment of Patriots fans who hate the team.

He’s not a Steelers or Bills fan who started this research based on a grudge, but if you’re an analytics guy, a numbers guy, why look at the Patriots only? It’s more work, but if you find that other teams did the same thing, then it’s not much of a revelation. People posted examples of the Vikings, Cardinals, and Ravens doing it, so it’s not unique. If he wrote that, then he wouldn’t get as much attention, which appears to be his goal.
