OT: McFadden Detained After Bar Fight

McFadden was cuffed and detained after a fight broke out at a piano bar around midnight. A bouncer was punched when he tried to get four people to leave, McFadden being one of them. McFadden was released with no charges being filed.

Seemed almost harmless, then again this is his second bar incident. Those who want the Patriots to draft him, may see him slip to #7 after all.

He is kind of right, I think owners are very leary about the hint of impropriety (see Vick, Michael) now. I could be wrong, but when you are preparing for a draft you should stay in a room and fold your hands.

Did anyone see the Punk'd episode with Matt Leinart? He looked like he was going to die. He was practically in tears, begging and saying I have the draft coming up.

I didn't read the article (I'm kind of busy right now), but from your post it sounds like the group he was part of got involved in a fight, and someone from that group hit the bouncer? Ah, he shouldn't have put himself in that situation, but it's really not a big deal. In saying that, McFadden's already had issues off the field, so GM's could think this means Darren's still hanging out with the wrong crowd, and hasn't entirely "cleaned house" if you will. I still think he's going top 5, but it will give GM's and owners something to check out.

Personally, I'd take him at #7, if he slides that far. When we had the #2 pick, nope... but at #7? He's the best player in the draft... and I know I'm going the opposite way on this (as I've always said don't take a first round RB), but if there's no one better who's available...

I think it was soliciting a prostitute. I'm not 100% sure what the "crime" was but the poor bastard. The cops came and he was trembling. It was so funny. He really was seconds away from crying.

Keep in mind the Raiders pick second. They need a RB (well, could use a top-tier one) and this probably makes him more appealing to the gang in Oakland.

ohh, i agree with u, i doubt that this incident will affect him in the draft....chances are his not going to be there when we pick....so it wont matter....but BB and pioli would give a lot of thought to him if he was available for them to his record....i doubt any other team would take it quite as seriously

and if a team moves up to the number 1 spot...it will be ONLY for mcfadden
