Obviously, we hope to see Jacas, Landry, and Gonzalez in camp and participation. But who else? Muma is at the top of the list for Reiss.
=============
FROM REISS
ESPN’s Mike Reiss shared some of his thoughts on the Patriots during a recent article. He highlighted five players who could make a splash during training camp later this summer.

Linebacker Chad Muma is the first player on Reiss’s list, and the most notable name overall.

“The 6-foot-3, 239-pound Muma was signed off the Colts’ practice squad last December due to injuries,” Reiss wrote. “He played in the final three regular-season games and four playoff games and carried that momentum into last spring. A six-year veteran out of Wyoming who is now on his third NFL team, Muma was playing on the top punt-protection unit this spring, and in one mandatory minicamp practice was the first to rotate in on defense behind starters Robert Spillane and Christian Elliss.”

The Jaguars drafted Muma in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Muma was a decent role player in Jacksonville, but never ascended to become a consistent starter. That might not happen in New England either, but Muma could still provide valuable depth behind Spillane and Elliss. He could also play significant snaps on special teams.

Reiss also named running back Terrell Jennings, center Jacob Rizy, defensive tackle Eric Gregory, and outside linebacker Xavier Holmes as potential breakout candidates.

It will be exciting to watch how these players perform during training camp practices later this month.

Patriots training camp kicks off on July 21st when rookies will report for the start of mandatory practices. They will be joined by veterans on July 24th, with the first full team practice on July 25th.

What I would like to see in TC:

1. No injuries.
2. Everyone signed and participating.
3. Signs of continued development of key positions (OL, receiver room, etc)
4. Signs of individual guys stepping up and developing.
5. Better depth, either from development or acquisition.
6. No injuries.

Who I want to see? Everyone.
What I think is very important is how Campbell looks, and how Wilson adjusts back to his normal position.
Those 2 guys are very important to overall improvements on the Oline, and that is one unit that I really think could make use a top team again, or could hold us back.

I think you understated NO INJURIES!

Agree with all you said.

More specifically I want to see Jacas shutting up all the critics, and X Holmes becoming this years Ninkovich.

Also want to see Bryant making Crownover wait a year for his opportunity, and Ponder and Swinson continuing their ascending trajectory.

and X Holmes becoming this years Ninkovich.

.
Ninkovich has minimal play elsewhere for his first 3 years in the NFL and then was a given a chance by the patriots. This was hugely successful.

Holmes in a rookie UDFA. There is zero chance that he is Ninkovich in 2026.

Muma is much more in the pattern of Ninkoovich.

Kyle Williams and Eli Raridon.

health
continuity from the OL
continued decision making improvement from Maye
rookies on the field day 1 and making day by day progress

TEs and WRs (2d year & UDFAs).

TE is short handed now and WR is overstocked with wr3/4 types.
So will be interesting to see who is best TE2 & TE3

and which of the wr guys get reps after Brown & Doubs.
Is Boutte 2B (to Doubs-2A)? Or will he be kept sidelined/healthy as trade bait?
Which of the others (9) are seen by the coaches as worth reps (Chism, DeGennero, Dixon, Dorner, Douglas, Hollins, Kibble, Webb, Williams)?

The Rams have like 13 TE's we should be able to pouch one. They spent resources in the last two Drafts on TE's early: already having decent players at the position *head scratcher*. That said I would take Davis Allen or Colby Parkinson.

A lot of these teams with a lot of TE's, it's because the TE's they have stink.

Wait for camp to wind down when teams have roster crunches and there's a good player at risk of being cut due to cap concerns.

Dawson Knox is in a precarious position due to the Bills' severe cap crunch and the emergence of Dalton Kincaid. He is an example of a player who could shake free, but there's others... better players than any currently available.

Health, development by the second year players, a good showing by the rookies that plants them squarely on the depth chart behind the vets with glowing reviews and hope for the future.

This team got significantly younger this offseason, we need the young players to emerge.

Raridon. ND product that really was not utilized until his last year.

Jacas. I notice a few U of ILL players making names for themselves in the NFL.

Bills might be in bind there Kincaid is great when healthy: but is also very fragile. Jackson Hawes could come on this year: and Dawson Knox is decent. I can't see them breaking that Threesome up.

So he was behind Michael Mayer and Mitchell Evans who look like serviceable TE's.

The Bills are already projected to be over the cap for 2026, they'll be looking to find cheaper options. Cutting Knox would free up $11 million, which alone could solve the Bills' cap compliance issues, so he is a prime candidate for release or a significant pay cut. Knox is just one of many examples of players who could shake free.

You talked me into Knox... Woz he'll turn 30 soon while Henry will be 32 by seasons end. I'll take Knox 24/7 given the age difference.
