PATRIOTS NEWS OFFICIAL: Patriots Finally Acquire AJ Brown

Breaking New England Patriots Team News
AJ Brown liked one of my Facebook posts yesterday. He was the only one. It was about the Patriots.

I told my wife about it and she had no idea who or what I was talking about. And my kids didn't care either.

So I'm sharing it with y'all.

Thanks!

Yeah, we were out in the Sound on the smaller yacht yesterday and he mentioned he loves your stuff.

All the nonsense talk concerning how AJ Brown is slipping.

We finally got a stud.

First thing I read on Sunday mornings is Mike Reiss' column.
When I read those stats on Brown, I felt very encouraged.
So I came here to post what both of y'all posted.
Pats fans who loved the trade and  especially
those who were less than enthusiastic due to injury concerns should also feel encouraged by this.
Brown accomplished this during an alleged "down" year.
With Hurts at qb and Philly's current offense.
My question for any doubters is" What the hell do you think he'll do this season with Maye at qb and McD's offense?

Unless it's a great and lucky draft pick, no team is getting a Jefferson, Puka, Chase, Lamb in their prime.

This was best case.

Lots of interesting stuff in these last 2 pages, that podcast was very interesting. I didn't like their take on Brown's injury situation, a little too pessimistic despite there not being a lot of evidence that the prognosis is bad. I liked take on how his (and Doubs) arrival will affect the WR room. AND how Maye will affect their individual production positively.

The Reiss tidbit was also very revealing. A lot has been said about Browns "down" year. Maybe it wasn't as down a s it seemed and perhaps it was surprisingly good, given how fractured Browns relationship with Hurts and the Eagles was at that point. It kind of shows just how subjective you can be when using selective statistics to make a point. Reminds me of the old adage, "there are LIES, big lies... and statistics"

While the 30 cliff is definitely a real thing, my sense of it is that big possession receivers are less likely to suffer from it than the speedsters. Guys like Anquon Bolden didn't start dropping off until he was 35, and like Brown he was 6'1 220., Larry Fitzgerald 6'3 218, same thing, didn't drop off until 35, Andre Johnson 6'3 229, didn't drop off until 34. I think it's likely that A.J. Brown will follow this pattern. He might not be a 1,400 yard receiver for the next 5-6 years, but we should see a really stable and productive run for him during his time with the Patriots.
