Not always the best of ideas...

How much time can you really devote to a team other than the one you are playing without hurting your chances to win?

Smart move. Having played the Colts twice this season (and every season), much easier to prepare for Indy in a short amount of time. They saw the writing on the wall, and had the Pats in the back of their minds. Don't know that it will help, but it obviosly didn't come back to bite them.

plus they already had a game plan for Pitt so I think Del Rio Grande finally did the right thing

Yeah, I am sure the earlier match up with Pitt helped quite a bit. But hey, don't worry, JDR will absolutely find a way to screw things up.

It's cute that Del ******* considers that "going the extra mile" but it's typical; the Patriots do basic gameplans for every upcoming opponent in the offseason. The Colts were clearly going to be a WC with Patriots/Colts 1&2 and they know the Colts very well.

What a surprise? That why Del Rio is considered a football genius.

I bet belichick never though of that. Then that's why Del Rio is considered a football genius.

I could prepare for a year to lift the statue of liberty, but it aint gonna happen.

This guy I know, Brian McNamee... he can do some great things. I'll get you his info.

I don't have a problem with it. They weren't going to bother preparing for Houston, they had just played Pitt & SD, and they played Indy twice already. I would imagine that NE would do the exact same thing in the same situation.

I actually think that NE has been preparing for Indy for a few weeks themselves.

of course they have. every team has advance scouts, including the Pats.

uh pal...i dont know who you are or where you live, but if you want to compare cribs, i like my chances...google "the king and the bear"

So your goal is to point out how much lower the property value is down there? By the way, I think my favorite internet guys are the ones who tout there homes and college degrees. What's next, you want to compare W2's?

I could say I won the lottery yesterday, doesn't make it true.

I think they've been preparing for Indy since February

Every time I say this, someone responnds like this.

Obviously I know teams have advance scouts. Who doesn't know this?

What I am saying is that NE has been practicing and even running plays during games specifically in an effort to be better prepared for facing the Colts.

Ok Ok, Chill out, just havin some fun with ya. Tell me though, do they run a line up to the shed, I mean club house too? Jk The post said the Jags were preparing since the END of last month, correct? So that is just a week is it not? Just like any other game.

A Pats fan who makes sense, you guys know your coach has been preparing for us too, right? he said something like they already knew Pitts and Titans even just for pre-season game BS. Let's be honest, a good coach gotta look ahead even as he tells his team not to.

I bet BB was preparing this way back as he knew the Titans wouldn't make it and that we would have to play the Jags...

In the last few games BB has not revealed much and when Jack takes the field on Saturday, I'm sure he'll be scratching his head when our defensive formations shift and change between downs.... They'll try to run the football on every down, taking time off the clock and keep TB on the sidelines. That's going to be their strategy.

However, what Jack will have to consider is that each time they go 3 and out, TB will score a quick TD and then it's back to catch up time... I see the Pats taking a big lead in the first half, which is sure to put a lot of pressure.

In the second half, TB should switch to a running game and wear their defense out, while our defense takes a rest.. Long drive by the offense... Then, quick 3 and out for DG and team and another long drive by TB ... By then, the game should be pretty much done..

Anyway, let's see what BB has planned for this team...
