Certainly helps when he’s been able to draft well with his later round picks. Not many GMs can pull off this strategy.Wow.
Les Snead's hobby is trading away 1st round picks.

Verse isn't Garrett, but he certainly has that potential. I'm actually pretty impressed by the Browns compensation here. This new front office doing everything they can to get out from under the Watson debacle.Happy for Garrett, he deserves to see some playoff action and a legitimate chance to win a Superbowl. A good young replacement and a low #1 seems a bit light as far as compensation goes, so I'm assuming those additional "future" draft picks to be negotiated will be significant and probably be filed under "conditional" picks, perhaps based on the Rams team success this season,
Won once so far. Handed his ass in the Super Bowl by some guy named Belichick. Let’s maybe cool the jets on him and Snead until they earn more jewelry.Remember McVay had another Disruptive Force in Aaron Donald and won with him.
Take this personal:Poor Verse....Imagine having to move from LA to Cleveland and moving organizations too.... and i would have traded Gonzo and a 1st for Garrett.
Garrett impacts more plays every snap then Gonzo will (not bashing Gonzo at all) but every snap has action at the line of scrimmage...
I would've sent a 1st, Barmore and probably more.Man, that’s one of the few moves I see and say “worth it”.
****, I’d have traded OUR 2027 first for him and wouldn’t for Brown. Garrett is that dominant.
Problem is we don’t have a Verse to include back.
Also, Sneed hates 1st round picks
While there's no debate Garrett>Gonzo, the Rams were able to pull this off because they didn't have to weaken their secondary to do it. The Pats secondary without Gonzo would be really weak.Poor Verse....Imagine having to move from LA to Cleveland and moving organizations too.... and i would have traded Gonzo and a 1st for Garrett.
Garrett impacts more plays every snap then Gonzo will (not bashing Gonzo at all) but every snap has action at the line of scrimmage...40 to 45%of NFL plays are runs... thus wouldn't include need for CB Gonzo...
Congratulations on joining the list of people that I am SUPER glad are not the general manager for the New England Patriots.Poor Verse....Imagine having to move from LA to Cleveland and moving organizations too.... and i would have traded Gonzo and a 1st for Garrett.

Has that kid shown anything on any football field at any time to warrant such a thing? And with the first pick in a draft...
The Cleveland Browns select....
Arch Manning, Quarterback, University of Texas
He has not. However as we well know, that's never stopped teams before.Has that kid shown anything on any football field at any time to warrant such a thing?
Darnold is already seeing ghosts, and Purdy has already hurt himselfLive look at Seahawks and 49ers fans....
What is interesting is that the Rams don’t go to the combine and aren’t too much in the « know the player » before the draft.Certainly helps when he’s been able to draft well with his later round picks. Not many GMs can pull off this strategy.
No way I ever give up gonzo and a 1st. Crazy talkPoor Verse....Imagine having to move from LA to Cleveland and moving organizations too.... and i would have traded Gonzo and a 1st for Garrett.

They'd better pray Stafford stays healthy. The Rams should be a pretty decent team this year..
