What is our plan for ILB?

Most draft sites guess, or worse trust the colleges who don’t keep good records, if not outright lie about size.

Things will have to go terribly wrong for Britt to make it IMO, he’s a jag.
I was going to say the same about Muma
Muma has a long road ahead if Ob can play
I would think Britt is a lock

Nah, Muma would back up Spillane.

Obiazor would backup Elliss.

Britt got good UDFA guaranteed money ($687K), he’s no lock.

Yes, Britt is lock, a starter level STer.

And the competition at ILB is so poor that Muma and Obiazor are likely to make the 53.

Andrew Rupcich is a stiff...

Don't disagree there.

They field two ILB’s and have two good ones in Spillane and Ellis...

This is where the split is. I don't think that Elliss is "good." At all.

If by the middle to end of camp they are convinced they are “thin” a couple of these vets will still be sitting there. There is nothing to panic about at all.

Yep, until they're no longer sitting there... Because they were previously signed by front offices more pro-active & aggressive than ours.

Back to the topic at hand... am I the only one here who likes the look of Namdi Obiazor?

I find it funny nobody answered this question.

Nobody wants to go on record and say this 6th round pick is going to suck, because if he turns out to be good the take will age poorly.

Better to say nothing I guess….

Here's what I have to say: At 212, I would've picked Navy 3rd-Down Back/Slot WR Eli Heidenreich... At 234, I then would've probably picked Obiozor or, if already taken, then Indiana's Aiden Fisher...

You’re famous for calling our good players bad.

Realizing most teams have their rosters set in their minds and may not realize until camp they actually are thin at a certain position after someone gets hurt.

These vets aren’t signing for peanuts, they’re also not signing to sit on a bench and watch others play.

I would have preferred the Navy and Nigerian kids than the guys we took at the end of the draft, but at THAT point in the draft it's pretty much all just throwing darts and hoping to get lucky.

As to Obiazor, I am warming to him. He has the length to get to 240, and looking at his clip had me saying, "Christ, someone who actually sticks his face in there and wraps when he tackles was a revelation. I'll be rooting for him.
