Have no problem with Maye at #8 but Herbert a top 5 QB? lol. Caleb at 3 ahead of the MVP last season and the runner up lol. lol. lol. Mahomes #2 even though he finished last season with the 20th passer rating in the league and trending down the last couple of seasons anyway. He was more like Number Two than #2. Yes Darnold has a ring and he's much better than the Jets Darnold but the #10 QB in the league? I wouldn't go that far.

Lost me at Caleb Williams at #3 ahead of Maye.

Mahomes is started to slip.

I'd put Maye about 4 or 5 at worst. Jackson shouldn't be ahead of him who has plateaued as a passer.

Herbert should get a boost from McDaniel.

That's true I forgot McDaniel is there now and that will be good for Herbert.

Here's the real list...

Advantage us.. we've seen McDaniels offense up close and personal from his time as the Fins coach.. in the AFCE

I understand what Cowherd's doing. There's a lot of dead NFL airtime after the Draft.
So, it's list time. "Best QB's" is as good a list as any.

Mahomes, Stafford and Darnold are the only QB's on that list who've won a ring.
Burrow and Maye both made it to the big game.
So, there's that.

Josh Allen gets the "Dan Marino Lifetime Achievement Award," but never won his Conference.

I have a Brady frame of mind: Mahomes is the only one on that list who's won three times, so he belongs at the top as long as he's playing or until someone else still playing does the same.

Beyond Mahomes and Allen, you can shake and stir the list in almost any way you want...and maybe add a couple of others.
All that really matters is who's still standing after the clock runs out on the last game in February.

Herbert is possibly the most overrated player in the league. Perhaps one of the most overrated ever.

Other than maybe Stephen A. Smith, there might not be another sports reporter or analyst that I truly don’t give a f*** what they think than Cowherd

Maye is a better QB than Williams and Herbert. I put him 3rd.

Maye is top 3

would probably be more accurate (and less "cough chargers cough" bias).
Cowherd suffers from the same problem many posters in this forum do.
He gets attached to draft binkies.

Sam Darnold, Williams and Herbert were all binkies. Maye was not. And since you are only ever allowed to have your initial opinion and never let it change, there we are.

Justin Herbert on a top-10 list is laughable at this point.

Especially after his performance in the playoff game against the Patriots, which was disgraceful.

Ive never been a fan of USC QBs, but Williams really showed promise last season. Now that there is plenty of film on him having success, 2026 will tell if he is legit.
Mahomes is started to slip.
It would not surprise me to see the Chiefs in this Super Bowl.

Mahomes hand picked his OC. KC fixed RB, fixed OT and they will have Kelce and Hill back. Hill at 50% is still a weapon.

Agreed. Jackson sucks. Running QBs like him are always stuck in between 2 worlds - being a Passer or being a Rusher.
Herbert should get a boost from McDaniel.
Its long overdue for Herbert to take the next step.

I look forward to seeing how one potential differentiator sorts out:

Mahomes messed up his ACL, as Brady did (as Chiefs fans are posting all over Facebook because they think Brady/Mahomes is some kind of uncanny kinship like Lincoln/Kennedy (not to be confused with Lincoln Kennedy.)

What Brady did was come back from it, go undefeated until the Super Bowl (lost by a whisker, not a blowout like the Chiefs just suffered a couple years ago,) return within three years, then ultmately found a second dynasty.

All that starts with how he came back from injury.

So yes, I'm interested in how Mahomes passes or flunks that test. First year back: You got this?

Can't say I'm rooting for him, but that's good television.

Lists are silly. Cowturd’s lists are outright dumb.

Show me the team around the QB and I’ll tell you who will play best in 2026.

If the criteria is production, durability, and career momentum, how is Mahomes #2? Mahomes' production has been declining for the last three years. His stats have been pedestrian the last two years. He is obviously one of the best QBs in the league, but based on this criteria, I wouldn't put him in the top 5. Plus he has some durability concerns now that he is over 30 and coming off a major injury combined with his style of play.

Maye is too low based on this criteria. Willaims is too high. Stafford is too high since he is likely in his last year and still has significant back concerns which would probably knock him out of the top 10. Burrow's lack of durability should knock him down a lot too.

It seems like Cowherd made a set a criteria to follow and then just made a ranking based on a separate criteria that doesn't seem to be consistent.

Give him a week or two into the season, Cowherd will change his rankings based on results.
