If a newspaper reports a story accurately, there is no way whatsoever you can sue the newspaper if people draw inferences.

NYPOST: Vrabel and Russini were seen together at Ambiente. Here are some pictures.

Even if they aren't having an affair, the NY Post did nothing wrong and there is absolutely nothing actionable against the NY Post. I mean, seriously, what planet are you living on? We have a concept in this country called "freedom of the press". The press is allowed to report the truth.

This is my last post on the matter. Being that they DID have an affair, the notion that they can file suit against the media, or get any sort of cease and desist order, is beyond laughable. The very idea is incredibly absurd.

I think TMZ might have a case against them though. They portrayed the boating event as Vrabel and Russini being there alone. It looks like they even edited the video to cut out the three other people with them. If you look at the tail end of the video, there are clearly three other people on the dock (one looking like a player or a former player) and only one boat at the dock.

They probably did enough to escape any slander case, but it looks to be close.

It was stated in the TMZ report (not the video, the article itself). Considering they have pictures of the actual boat rental agreement paperwork with just Russini's and Vrabel's name on the paperwork, I found it very believable.

How do you know that? It is all speculation. It happened years ago. I didn't see any of them looking like they were asking for pictures in the video. One of them was standing around with a grocery bag most likely food or drink for a boating excursion. He doesn't look to be an employee. The video itself was cut off before we could see. Unless we see the complete and unedited video we do not know for sure.

Does anyone else remember Tomlin interfering with the ball carrier during a kick return? Maybe it's unfair, but I have found it hard to respect him since that weird interlude. I think of him as a sort of very macho cheerleader or something. Maybe that's wrong.

I certainly don't see him as any sort of on-air star. That bugeyed stilted speech thing he does is pretty offputting, and his comments rarely get much beyond the obvious. Again, perhaps unfair.

all i know is this looks staged like this poster suggests so obviously he is cool with her and the baby which signals to me time for the voyeurs to move on. unless there a pictures of vrabel battering her any pictures previously are null and void. glad to see the families on the same page and intact... at least so far.

I don't really care anyway. Looks like the story is starting to run out of steam. People online with no vested interest in the Patriots or Vrabel are complaining it is overkill. Now that Russini's husband seems to be ok with the situation, the media will just get more and more backlash for posting pictures and information without substantially advancing the story.

With no paternity test forthcoming, I think the only things that could come out about Vrabel that would do anything is proof of Russini planting false stories for Vrabel's advantage or evidence of him having an affair with another woman besides Russini. Otherwise, this story is dying and will be all but forgotten by training camp.

This is why I thought all this talk of him having to step down was silly. The media cycles today are that stories like this have no legs beyond a few weeks. If this was a politics scandal, the story would already be forgotten.

If Russini's husband wasn't standing by her and if a paternity test was done and 1 or both of those kids were Vrabel's, I think there was a strong chance that Vrabel would have stepped down. And these were "ifs"

But with her husband "standing by her", even if it is all show, there will be no paternity test on the kids, and I believe Vrabel's job is much safer because of this
