If you were to run the draft, seeing how the board fell, what would your draft look like if you were the Pats GM? There are a few ways to do this. Since there were so many trades you have many options. As a reminder the original picks were...

31, 63, 95, 125, 131, 171, 191, 198, 202, 212, 247 if i am not mistaken.

Trades were...

31 and 125 to the Buffalo Bills for pick 28
63, 131, and 202 to the Los Angeles Chargers for pick 55
191 to the Jacksonville Jaguars for picks 196 and 245.
198 to the Minnesota Vikings for pick 234 and a 2027 sixth-round pick

How would you have drafted differently?

For me...

31 - Trade down - I hate to miss out on Lomu as I think he is so valuable and important for us... but the value of a minor trade down is too good. - Traded for 35 and 101 (basically the Bills trade down to the Titans more or less. So i didn't just pull it out of thin air.

35 - TJ Parker - EDGE (I like Gabe but I think this is the better player)
63 - Markel Bell - OT (I know he can't start instantly... and it may burn this year.. but i like his upside as much as Lomu and both probably won't be ready to go as much this year anyway.. and we will double dip later)
95 - Eli Raridon - TE
101 - Jermod McCoy - CB
125 - Trey Moore - DE
131 - Kyle Louis - LB
171 - Dametrious Crownover - OT
198 - VJ Payne - S
202 - Eli Heindenreich - RB
212 - Jordan van den Berg - DT
247 - Deion Burks - WR or Garrett Nussmeier - QB. Can't go wrong with either.

Edit: I didn't see there was already a thread here.

I think we've got a similar discussion going here: WWYHD 2026 Draft Edition

But your title is easier to read!
Sorry Velma lol
