DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION 2026 NFL Draft Day 3

Haha, any questionable pick and wolf’s gone rogue according to some on this board.

Any attempts to trade up, offers to move back, picks will be discussed between the 3 even if Vrabels not in the building.
When you get to day 3 you are going to have a bunch of guys ranked similarly.
Again, Wolf has openly said Vrabs is the Alpha in the room, everyone knows he's the guy.
So is it possible that without Vrabs there, and there is a bunch of guys ranked similar that Wolf would go with his preference without Vrabel commanding the room?
Of course it's a possibility.
I never said he went rogue and picked guys not on our board, but it's 100% conceivable that if Vrabel was there he may have preferred someone else and battled for it.

If what you say is true then what does that say about Vrabel’s management ability?

How come we dont take flyers on development players like the eagles do?
Howie Roseman has a reputation at this point that's beyond criticizing. He can take any risk he wants now.

He also has big brass balls and a realistic, healthy obsession with measurables... as any smart team builder should.

Um, no, probably not. I don’t think for a second just because Vrabel isn’t there in person that these guys aren’t communicating via other channels. Group texts and Slack both exist.
Yes, there would be communication, that much was said by Wolf in his pre-draft interview with Reiss.
That's not the same as Vrabel being in the room, voicing his opinion in every conversation.
Again, I never said Wolf went rogue, and it's quite possible our draft would be the exact same if Vrabel was there. It's also possible it would be different.

Oh wow, would you look at that. There was no other TE taken just like I told you. Hahahahahaha.

Ok. So your point is the draft could’ve been the same, or it might’ve been different. I can agree with that.

This what we know.
Wolf has run 1 complete draft, and one day 3 draft without Vrabel in the room.
We can say with 100% certainly his lone draft running the show was an abomination.
We can say his one complete draft, and day1/2 draft with Vrabel in the room was incredibly solid.
His day 3 draft without Vrabel was questionable. Could end up great, or we could look back in a year or two have nothing to show for.

And if you go back to my original post:
"One has to wonder if Vrabel not being there played any part.
If this is Wolf's work in Vrabs absence, I may be back on the hating wagon."

I questioned if Vrabel not being there made a difference, that's it.

Wolf said in presser that although Vrabel would not be present they would be in contact with him,

They decided not to consult him.

They decided not to consult him.

As i understand it..This was already preplanned it was mentioned he would be available and notified via text or phone. There's no way the head coach who has final say on the roster isn't briefed.

And I’m saying it’s unlikely at best that these guys were not aligned on the picks that were made despite Vrabel’s physical absence.

Agree here. By day 3 in most organizations the HC is briefed but likely not as involved as say days 1 and 2.. same went for BB.. as Caserio used to handle alot ot things late in drafts...

I saw some the of interaction in the war room Vrabel looks every bit of himself and in control..the coach we saw all least season. Vrabel's an alpha &he's a sharp dude and understands how he needs to move with the media. Glad he's our coach!

He is definitely the Alpha.
I think it was during the Lomu interview (but can't remember which prospect it was for sure) and he said is soon a he walked in the room it was immediately evident who was controlling the room.

Didn’t show.
The article? It’s masslive just saying they didn’t talk to him today but it was business as usual in terms of knowing players that they wanted to get.

Reminds me of when my American Akita jumped in a yard that had 2 Rottweilers in.
Their territory. Didn't matter. They knew who the boss was. They didnt want that smoke.
Ive had half wolves They weren't as bad ass as that american Akita

Him and Leveon Moss were 2 guys I had was tracking as late rd picks last year if they declared.
I'm good with the Jam pick.
Oh black Betty, Rham and Jam.
I just coined our RB room theme song!
Will that be before or after TreVeyon my wayward son?
