Lomu

Im good with it. Even though I didnt love the idea of redshirting our 1st round pick, I understand it.

He just turned 21. The one thing he has over Miller and Iheanachor is that he actually can be the swing tackle as a rookie. That provides value at 2 spots. If an injury happened to Campbell, it would be tough to turn to Iheanachor as a rookie. So theres added value in being able to back up at LT and RT.

A year to get stronger and to learn from Moses is a good spot. Hes been ranked right there with Miller and Iheanachor, ahead of them at times. So its solid value as well.

Giving up 125 hurts moving up from 63 though. At this point, Im hoping for edge and TE with the next 2 picks.

Vrabel talked about the offense needing to hit the weight room. Lomu seems like the poster child of that mold.
At least in his case, he's not going to be forced into the lineup too early. Thats what the redshirt year is for.

His age is also a positive in that regard. He just turned 21 in December. Very young for a prospect these days.

Why do people say he can play RT? I haven’t seen it.

I don't get the pessimism. He's considered an elite pass blocker, didn't allow a single sack last season. Has good size.

Just because he hasn't done it doesn't mean he can't. We DO know that Lomu played LG for a season in HS before starting at LT for his senior year.

Why is it that you equate lack of having done something to being unable to do it?

He did 25 on the Bench. Where he was lacking was in leg strength as noted by the decent by not great Broad Jump.

He's got 4 months of conditioning and strength training coming. We'll see how he stacks up come the end of Training camp.

Because hes got the physical tools, and smarts to do it.

He does have a few snaps at RT. ESPN's clips showed him at RT on the goalline. According to PFF, he played 18 snaps at RT this year and 13 2 years ago, when he played 3 games and redshirted. Not a lot, but just saying.

He does need to get stronger but thats something that can be worked on.

Again you saying I said things.. i know English is not my first language but that one wasn’t pretty ok I tink.
I asked why people say he can play RT.
I haven’t seen any film of it. So I’m curious as to what exactly is that people saw that makes him a viable RT option.

What do you mean "again". You're statement was such that you didn't believe he could do it. If you were truly asking the question, you'd have asked if Lomu had ever played RT previously.

As others have pointed out. He's got excellent footwork. He's pulled and gone to his right across the line. Which means he needs to be able to see the defense effectively the way a RT would as well. While his leg strength and arm strength aren't such that make him a mauler, yet, he has 4 months to get some refinement going. At worst, he'll be a back-up LT this year while working on being the RT for 2027.
