What was the public's "need to know" in all of this? This media is just out to destroy people and it's ridiculous. Nobody cares what two adults do in private. But somehow, the media had to post these photos, even though they have no effect on anything and only serve to injury people (and not just the two main people). Next time the media tells you they care about anything, remember, they are just the absolute scum of the earth!

I'm sure we all know some dirty little secret about someone else, and that disclosing that secret would do you no good and only cause harm to others. I know I do, and I've kept my mouth shut for decades, because why inflict pain for no reason whatsoever!

Two differences between a Vrabel obfucsation and a Belichick one: BB would have required only one sentence and wouldn't tear up on cue.

You keep invoking this concept of Vrabel owing you a public apology for a personal and private (apparent) transgression. And you've built a six-point case for condemnation, making it pretty hard to root for the guy or the team he coaches with his job remaining secure.

A married guy in his position running around with a married mother of two toddlers while their spouses are back at their homes making sacrifices for their family so their partners can conduct NFL "business" on the road........

Urban Meyer had an epically disappointing stint as a head coach. The team was a dumpster fire. Vrabel is coming off a coach of the year award and Super Bowl appearance.

And that folks is how you measure morality and assess crime and punishment in professional sports.

I highly doubt that Kraft wants to fire him anyway. That’s really the only important point here.

Because the reality is that reporters are already socializing with team leaders and members in ways they shouldn't be so this (potentially) is just one more instance of that. During events like the owner's meetings and the combine they stay in the same hotels, eat at the same restaurants, drink at the same bars, play on the same golf courses etc.

All kinds of lines get crossed all the time. They don't want to squash this one lest the Puritans gain the upper hand and everyone is eating bread and drinking water, wearing crowns of thorns and in a hairsuit, then getting herded off to confession three times a day.

And of course this is why the Puritans are up in arms and demanding apologies. We must respect the prerogatives of their beloved Institution, even if we know its leadership doesn't.

Truth is the owners would all rather be in Jerrah's party bus or be on the massage table with an oiled-up mature Asian lady rubbing one out for them, so if Mike got some on the down-low from a female reporter with big cans then their only problem is the same as with Bob, he got caught.

And like Bob the media has pounced and has generated click after click, and all kinds of pearls have been clutched, and now the story is fading fast. In the long term it'll be just like Bob's story, something we chuckle about but just a giant nothing burger.

As suspected you cherrypicked the presser transcript and didn't actually watch it, missing essential context. That pretty much skews your "assessment" ... er, agenda. It is not a question of "absolute devotion" to Vrabel or in your case, absolute condemnation. It's about acknowledging human fallibility and moving on sans tossing the baby out with the bathwater.

Casting yourself as steadfast moral arbiter is quite a cross to bear, especially when applied to enjoyable pastimes. Good luck hating the coach and rooting "for the laundry."
