2026 Draft: RT

If Chris Bell lasts to 63 he should at least get serious consideration:

1. Bell, when healthy, is a top-25 talent in this draft, IMHO, and a perfect fit for the Pats. Young AJ Brown on a rookie contract.

2. Bell is reportedly ahead of recovery.

3. If we go EDGE at 31, there will almost certainly be no OT worth taking at 63.

4. If we go OT at 31, we can evaluate the available EDGE options at 63 and later relative to Bell.

Not a likely scenario, but chance favors the prepared mind.

Day 1 and 2 have passed with no OTs taken.
Who you got for Day 3 options?

Any love for Diego Pounds?

He's one of the better 3rd round options but I would put Jude Bowry and Crownover ahead of him. Austin Barber possibly too.
3rd round? Or Day 3??? SG14 was asking for the latter..

Yeah day 3. My bad. I've been watching a mock for 7 hours so I'm a bit mentally skewed.
OMG. a 7 hour mock??? Is that the one where the Pundits represent the team they report on?

No. Connor rogers and Trevor Sikkema at NFLSE doing an annual 7 round mock draft for charity. They had an initial target of 5k which would have doubled last years result. They ended up raising 15k.
That's one of those that you tune in for the final results. LOL.. Post the link in the Mock draft section.

I don't think he is going to make it to 31 anymore. Too much talk about him.
I agree. I don't think Lomu will be there either - I think there'll be a run on the 1st round worthy tackles

While I hope they'll entertain trading up for someone with RT (and ideally, LT) experience I think they'll miss out on their OT targets and wind up trading back as there may be several Edge targets on the board and available early in the 2nd.

They may be able to get a decent return for #31 as many project Ty Simpson as a top 2nd round pick for a QB thirsty team so might not be hard to tempt someone to prevent that from happening.

Perhaps if the 7 big OT's are taken in the 1st round....that might push an Edge or TE (or a different player) down to us that was projected to go higher. Will be interesting to see what happens.

And which EDGE player would you deem worthy other than the top 20 and Mesidor?
