i’m not sure that’s entirely true. I think if Howie had to do it, he could figure out a way to eat that extra dead money. I think that’s a narrative Howie is benefiting from though

They'll get another year out of him. You don't rush to get rid of good players if you don't have to. Brown is a good player, draft picks are potential. A year with him is worth losing some return later.

I'm not against bringing in Brown, but do you truly look at this team and think "all we need is a WR1 and we're set?"

We need more talent, we need more depth. That's a fact. If you added AJ Brown to our roster before the Super Bowl, the Seahawks are still the champs.

Again, I'm all for bringing in Brown, but not if it costs us anything close to what Waddle did for Denver. We can't spare the picks, we're just not good enough yet.

The problem is you could play that with any position. The truth is that this team has had a WR issue since 2019 and we haven't solved it.

No it doesn't solve every problem. It solves one major problem and that's the point. You aren't getting a stud LT with the 31st pick. You aren't guaranteed anywhere close to Brown with the 31st pick. It doesn't matter if we draft a WR on the cheap if he turns into another Harry or Polk.

All you can do is look at what is available and see where the most value that helps the team is. We have a young QB on a rookie contract and now is the time to try to get him some weapons.

After watching the SB. We need to strengthen our OLine first and foremost. I believe you are doing Drake a solid by strengthen the OLine before WR. Just my take

How so?
Hendrickson was a 3rd rd pick, Crosby was A 4th.
AJ was 51st overall.
Obv you can find example of guys that got drafted early that didn't work out.
That's why you pay your scouting dept millions of dollars a year.
I'm sure there were plenty of folks that said you couldn't get a premier WR at 51 in Brown's draft year.
I'm sure no one thought Hendrickson would have 35 sacks in a 2 year span.
Premier OL and DE do not always come from the top of the draft.
