I was giving someone **** about this guy getting $22M APY because the current highest-paid center only makes $18M APY and then the ****ing Raiders go and give him $27M APY. He is literally getting 50% more money than the next highest paid center. He is paid as much as the highest-paid LEFT TACKLE. And he's a freakin CENTER. Ridiculous. The 3 years prior in NO with Carr he averaged between 15-17 ypc. Yeah it dropped significantly last year in that 11-12 range but could be due to the rookie qbs in NO. It could improve with Maye.

We have Wilson, if we signed Linderbaum (forget the money for a moment) that would probably put Wilson at backup spot because he needs to be upgraded at LG, so in the end there's the money and the investment made in that draft pick, signing another center would mess this a little bit with that dynamics. Wilson was the top Center coming out of the draft last year, we have to trust we will be better there and sign a good LG. That's better for the team than signing Linderbaum even though he is a proven top Center.

Yeah, APY isn’t outrageous for his role, but surprised at the guaranteed amount.

We didn't. Signed an Exclusive Rights Free agent contract - basically brings him to camp this summer.
