Prefer Cade Otton myself wouldn't be opposed to Isaiah Likely. I think H Henry is close to Done: can't Block and disappears in Games: but don't tell that to Patsfans who overrate their own. IF Isaiah Likely is being mentioned they might move on from Grandpa Henry *good cap savings. IF the goal is to get Younger and more Talented at TE I'm not opposed.
Hunt was not clutch down the stretch

You wonder why I give you ****, but it's ignorant crap like the above post that lead to it. You want to get rid of a guy Maye leans on for critical first downs, who had almost 800 yards and 7 touchdowns for an overrated back up who had the same stat line as Austin Hopper, and only 1 touchdown. If you were the GM they wouldn't be able to beat a high school team.
Huck...H Henry has been in this League a long time: Father time has caught up.

I like what Likely brings to the table. He’s pretty explosive on the field. Especially when Andrews got hurt. He dropped in the draft due to a slow 40, but you can tell he’s fast (enough) on the field, had a 36” vert, so that helps too, good YAC guy too. He’s also improved his run blocking by a lot since he became a pro. I’d be thrilled if the Pats land him, I think he’d produce big time with Maye.

Good move or not?

What I have seen of him I think it would be.
Great move.

Likely has been wasting away with Lamar Jackson. His catch rate is what youre looking for @ 75%., He will blow up with Maye and increase Pats TE production which is sorely needed.

He had almost 800 yards and 7 touchdowns last season, Otten and Likely had 2 between them. You don't get rid of Henry until you have someone better, otherwise you are creating a hole you can't fill. So go ahead and tell me who you would replace Henry with who is better than he is?

Everett Mass product.

I hope not.

Cade Otton - Cole Kmet... both guys are decent Blockers unlike H Henry. Also there wouldn't be a significant drop in receiving from the TE Position. It wouldn't shook me if we move on from H Henry and get a TE who Excels in the Blocking Depart. H Henry and A Hooper were No! help to our OL.

2025 receiving yards from a "tight" alignment, according to NFL Pro:
1. Tyler Warren 522
2. Trey McBride 478
3. AJ Barner 390
4. Hunter Henry 383
...
14. Austin Hooper 223
29. Cade Otton 180
30. Chig Okonkwo 168
60. Charlie Kolar 73
73. Isaiah Likely 41

It’s worth moving tight ends around to find favorable matchups, but it’s a little concerning when a guy’s previous team did everything they could to avoid putting him in the spot that best translates to the Pats’ offense.

TBF, the media has speculated the Patriots would pursue every decent FA available. I truly believe that noone knows anything right now, but are making reasonable guesses but they are still guesses.

So you're saying Hunter Henry is a good blocker...

A move TE makes a lot of sense as they look to replace Diggs. Obviously not a one for one replacement since it’s a WR vs a TE, but a true move TE could fill in some of the gaps for the route tree Diggs ran.

This is both why I like Likely for us, but also an issue against him. I think he’d add diversification to our 2 TE packages. However, he doesn’t really fit as the lone TE because that needs to be an in line guy. So you probably have to pay him like TE1 but he can’t be more than TE2 in terms of play time.
