Criticism of him was he was slow in and out of his breaks.

I know the 40 isn’t the best all, end all, but a little disappointed in Tate’s 40. That being said, JSN ran a 4.52, and still became a great receiver, Tate looks like a great receiver, so let’s see.

I thought maybe 4.42 for Stribling.

He plays fast, didn't think he would test quite that fast.

Skyler Bell, Antonio Williams and Stribling all good options as long-term Diggs successors.

One of the reasons that I do not put much faith in the 40 (it is fun I admit) is that several players are looking down constantly or close their eyes for the 1st 10 yds. Not a realistic thing for football

The combine is fun and I watch it most years, but I wish they ran the 40 starting from a 2 pt stance

Agreed.
Fun and gives us something to talk about, but it really doesn't mean much when determining if a WR will be successful or not.
JSN and Puka were the 2 receiving leaders this year and arguable the two best WRs in the NFL.
Puka ran a 4.57 and JSN was just under 4.5.

And what makes that more funny is that it can sometimes positively/negatively impact their draft stock. I may not be remembering this correctly but leading up to the Aquan Bolden draft he was talked about as a 1st round pick and he ended up going in the 50s-60s after he ran a 4.7. I don't think it always has that big of an impact.

Yup.
I've played several sports my whole life.
I played against lots of fast guys that were...fast and that's it.
I played against a lot of "not fast" guys that were much harder to defend.
I understand if we're talking about small school prospects who lack playing against top tier competition, but if a 4.5 guy can consistently get open and make plays in the power conferences, it's pretty ridiculous to write them off being able to it in the NFL.
