Usually, the team announces their intent at the draft and announced Wilson as a Center..He was drafted to play Guard. He was not drafted as a C then moved to G out of necessity.
We'll see how they feel this year. They backed Campbell. No public Wilson comments.
Ashton Grable. G. FL A&M
I must admit, I hadn't heard of him until that post and don't know much about him. FWIW, he's listed at 622 on the consensus big board.@manxman2601 - Grable being from the SWAC, it's likely he'll be around in the 3rd/4th round, right?
So someone to look at with the 6th/7th rounders. that could be a steal..I must admit, I hadn't heard of him until that post and don't know much about him. FWIW, he's listed at 622 on the consensus big board.
I wouldn't mind Trost next to Campbell this year, perhaps with the notion of him replacing Onwenu long term with a view to getting a LG proper next year.
Instead, the Patriots are hoping to add another guard in the middle rounds of the draft. The team believes they could find a future starting-caliber player here in the spring.
Not that I'm familiar with...I doubt if Schrauth or Dunker have the size to play LG.From this article, Karen Gugerian and Mark Daniels talk about snagging a mid-round LG
So who? Chase Bisontis and Emmanuel Pregnon probably don't make it to 63 so wouldn't qualify. I would think the most likely would be:
Billy Schrauth (ND)
Jalen Farmer (Kentucky)
Gennings Dunker (Iowa)
Keylan Rutledge (Georgia Tech) - LG?
JC Davis (Illinois)
Kage Casey (Boise State)
Keagen Trost (Missouri)?
Anyone else?
Joe Thuney was 304lbs when drafted. I prefer my guards to be in the 310 plus personally but it's possible for the right one.Not that I'm familiar with...I doubt if Schrauth or Dunker have the size to play LG.

Looking for some mid-round guards, these would be my preferences.
1.
2.
3. Keagen Trost. No RAS card. He only did the vert.
4.
With that athleticism, I wouldn't count him out as a LG. He does have experience there.Manx has been all over Micah Morris. Strong Combine performance, ascending trajectory. Good day 3 RG option.

Let's get both. Or Pregnon. I am so tired of not being about to run block.Farmer or Morris work for me.
