Makes one wonder what could have been had Hernandez not turned out to be a literal serial killer. Hard to screen for that in draft interviews
I know... it's such a sad situation for all involved.. really is.. he had some transgressions at Florida.. with the pouncey brothers... red flags all over the place.. his talent was so undeniably good.. his ankle injury and gronks robbed us of 2 superbowls at least...

We kindof see this in our own society - most of the $ to players goes to just a handful of elite players and even when they all play extra games, despite the promise that it will benefit everyone, it's almost all going to those few elite players.
Tonga's contract is for about $2.6M. If he makes that for 5 years that is $13M. A regular dude making $100k a year takes 130 years to make that much money. No idea what you are talking about - it's almost all going to those few elite players??? I would kill to make $13M over 5 years as a rotational player in the NFL.

Man, I was just thinking about Gronk and it dawned on me that dude was truly a generational player who is unlikely to ever be duplicated again. Devastating blocker AND nearly unstoppable receiver until safeties resorted to dirty hits.
I can't stand it when people get lazy and say Gronk was injury prone. He was so dominate that players had to resort to Shaq rules and get dirty with him.

Hernandez was extremely talented. I loved the way he played and how he could stop on a dime and then turn on the jets. It's an absolute shame he went down that bad path.

Pats beat the Giants with a healthy Gronk in 2011. Pats beat the Ravens in the 2012 AFCCG with a healthy Gronk. Pats would've had the one seed in 2013 with both Gronk and Hernandez. Pats are hosting Denver again in 2015. They beat the Eagles in a shootout. They had 5-6 rings on the table easily.

Best I have ever seen.

Truly a man among boys, and the boys couldn’t handle him fairly.

Only one I remember was Earl Thomas tackling Gronk in the open field with a clean, but hard, hit.

Too many cheaters like TJ Ward, who couldn’t compete fairly.

I mean truly.

If I could have a generational talent, for sure, on offense, and I had to pick anything eyond QB+OL, I'm going TE. Gronk made it obvious how much of a no brainer that is. And something that is needed with that is: the willingness to play hard.

You don't get Gronk without the willingness to take scary routes and make big blocks. He really was willing to put it all out there. He didn't care if Chancellor was gonna destroy him. Or Ward. Or anyone else.

That's because Gronk was 6'6 2/8" -265lbs and could run a 4.68 as a TE with a 7.18 3-cone. He was likely to win any H2H battle against those guys.. That's why they started going for his knees..

Agreed 100%... since that point we've lacked athleticism and explosiveness at the TE position.. as you know I've been saying during up that position would do wonders for the offense..

What the Cowboys realize is that Pickens is > Lamb. I wonder if the Cowboys would Trade Lamb?? I am sure the choir boy PatsFans wouldn't balk at that: afterall Lamb can walk on water. Personally I prefer George Pickens for Maye: but that's just me.

This current Offense will not cut it with the upcoming Schedule. I hope Mike Vrabel and McDaniels knows.

We will have a better offense next season i can assure you.. watching Vrabel interview yesterday gave me some real positive vibes... we had a good offense 28ppg but flutter in the playoffs...

I'll change that...

Yes.. teams had a full regular season of film and in the postseason is copycat... Houston saw what chargers did... Denver saw what Houston did... and same for Seattle.. our offense made Seattle defense look far better than what they really are.. Stafford carved them up.. a nucua dropped pass from winning...

We have seen it first hand Drake Maye can only bring us so far with smoke and mirrors.

Both Gronk and Hernandez had red flags but of different kinds.

The Hernandez red flags ended up being real.

Gronk, in spite of his injuries, is the best all around TE in history.

Yes, the 2025 rams were about as good as the 2025 seahawks.

That doesn't make the hawks worse. Either one was a lot better team than the patriots.

The bettors and mediots almost universally rated the two teams as the best in the NFL.

Alot better team? The 2025 patriots were the #2 seed and won the AFC not sure either than was alot better.. the rams IMO were a better team than the Seahawks..

The patriots offense didn't show up is why they lost.

How does being the #2 team (or even the #1) in the AFC make the patriots on the same level as the rams and the seahawks?
======
Either the rams or the seahawks would have had no problem crushing any AFC team. Yes, they were ALOT better. I would even think that SF would have been favored against any AFC team.

I'm simply asking what was the record of the Patriots and what was the record of the Hawks? Are you saying the Patriots are lucky to have been there?I think your discrediting the Patriots.

Patriots faced 3 AFC elite defensive teams in postseason

Seahawks didn't even have to leave thier division and saw a 9ners team missing ba
-sically all thier starters..
