I hope JMcD self scouts his Super Bowl. Granted Maye's shoulder was a huge issue, but disappointing lack of adjustments.Fortunately for us we have the best one not on the market....
And I would like to see a lot more of the short passing game in 2026.I hope JMcD self scouts his Super Bowl. Granted Maye's shoulder was a huge issue, but disappointing lack of adjustments.
i guess we have more $$ over hereoverseas the fullback pass-blocking assistant coach(es) among other things
Highly agree.. not making excuses but the shoulder definitely played a part.. but the short passing game was non existent. No check downs dump off to the back.. end arounds... the left side of the line chose the superbowl to play their worse game of the season..I hope JMcD self scouts his Super Bowl. The left side was pretty bad all post-season and that is how Seattle knew to exploit it. Not unique to the SB.Highly agree.. not making excuses but the shoulder definitely played a part.. but the short passing game was non existent. Absolutely correct! As for me it was always go back to to conversation of will Campbell not being healthy and was a detriment more than a help to the team. The left side was pretty bad all post-season and that is how Seattle knew to exploit it. Not unique to the SB.
When did the NFL expand to 42 teams?Turnover listed by division:
AFC - 11 out of 21
AFC East: 3 out of 4 - only NE keeps same OC
AFC North: 3 out of 4 - only CIN keeps same OC
AFC West: 4 out of 4 - all four teams(!!) change OCs
AFC South: 1 out of 4 - all teams keep their OCs except Titans
NFC - 10 out of 21
NFC East: 3 out of 4 - only DAL keeps same OC
NFC North: 2 out of 4 - GB and MIN keep same OCs
NFC West: 3 out of 4 - only SF keeps same OC
NFC South: 2 out of 4 - CAR and NO keep same OCs
Not now a day. They also have run game coordinators and they have run and pass game coordinators on the defensive side as well.“Pass-game” coordinator? Isn’t that the OC or QB coach’s job?
Just a reminder: in most of his games, Maye only threw more than 10 yards downfield about 10-12 times a game. He just needs to turn some of those "holding the ball" sacks into shorter plays. [IMO It'd help if they used Chism more, since he seems well-suited for that role.]And I would like to see a lot more of the short passing game in 2026.
I agree except for the Chism stuff. I would agree that we need a quick slot receiver that fits McDaniels' system, but Chism is not that guy IMO.Just a reminder: in most of his games, Maye only threw more than 10 yards downfield about 10-12 times a game. He could be. We don't know.I agree except for the Chism stuff. I would agree that we need a quick slot receiver that fits McDaniels' system, but Chism is not that guy IMO.
Some of us know. Some of us don't.He could be. We don't know.
He's a rookie who barely played.
He should never return another kickoff though, I'll say that much, I've seen enough of that. Some of us know. Some of us don't.
well that should make the primary coaches jobs a little easierNot now a day. They also have run game coordinators and they have run and pass game coordinators on the defensive side as well.
In theory, but I worry that there might be to many chefs in the kitchen.well that should make the primary coaches jobs a little easier
Not sure if you misunderstood. There were 21 total teams that replaced their OC across the whole league. 11 out of those 21 were in one conference and the other 10 were in the other conference. When did the NFL expand to 42 teams?
Any cool new names?
