Tom wouldve made the game closer . He has had bad games but by the 4th Q comes he still keeps the team in t the game. Most importantly, knowing he doesnt run at all , he wouldve resorted to the quick passing game . This is something Maye needs to get into. Cant live on the explosives all the time. Sometimes thousand paper cuts is what we need. Also we didnt have a kevin faulk or james white yesterday. Maye held on to the ball too long at times .Even boomer esiason said it today. maye needs to learn to put 52 mins behind and play the last 8 mins. Brady was very good with that. Maye was flustered early and never recovered. His 4th Q int was the signature of his day and his style.

Let's' hope Campbell is not a Bust for a #4 overall that would hurt. Wilson was a Third Rounder he can go either way.

Wilson was reasonable as a rookie, given that he was a 3rd rounder who had never played LG.

He basically lost a year. He can now move to center to backup and eventually replace Bradbury.

That was Brady's key trait, but I don't know if he was that amazing at it in his first season starting. He was good, but he was raw.

Brady had similar games and results as last night, against the Giants in the 2008 SB and at Denver in the 2013 AFCC game. He’d had many more years experience too. He would’ve been about the same as Drake last night. Tom would have made more short completions, but it would have been offset by his lack of mobility.

I'm not sure how much this is a factor but Brady played at Michigan whereas Maye played at UNC. Brady played in higher profile games in college. He played against SEC schools in bowl games. Drake Maye played in the Duke's Mayo Bowl. He didn't really get "big game experience" in college and since we sucked last year and had such an uncompelling schedule this year it's not like he played a ton of marquee matchups in the NFL either. I do wonder a little bit of the bright lights could have spooked him a bit.

I don’t know if the result would have changed but Maye was looking scared last night. He played scared. Brady wouldn’t have played scared.

Brady always had that confidence in himself.

Maye totally lost his confidence during those playoffs. Maye was so good in the regular season to not repeat the same mistakes often. In the playoffs he kept making the same mistakes over and over again.

I hoped Vrabel and Josh would be able to get Maye his mojo back in those two weeks. Unfortunately it didn’t happen. Josh called the game like his QB was a liability.

Josh always calls the game with the first priority being to not do anything to lose it.

I think both Vrabes and McD spent the playoffs coaching Drake to play safe and avoid the big mistakes, and it backfired by making him fearful and tentative.

He missed throws with pash rush pressuring him and he missed throws when they weren’t, so it’s not really clear he was inaccurate because of the rush. He’s been playing like he was spooked all through the playoffs. I remember the Ravens playoff game; we fell behind by 3 scores in the first quarter and Brady looked like he just gave up in that quarter.
