Where I’m at with Bradbury:

He played much better than expected. Really was not a liability.

But if you have a chance at a guy like Linderbaum, you make the upgrade.
Yeah, but we currently have Wilson who isn't really a guard and Bradbury, who is fine. I think if you can make the improvement, great, but I imagine they put their resources elsewhere.

They saw better defenses in Houston and Denver.. the difference was the offense made some plays to win.. yesterday they didn't.. Stafford carved up this same "vaunted " Seattle defense 2 weeks ago..

Our defense erased thier best player in JSN and held them to FGs essentially all game.. eventually Seattle was going to score with all the opportunities they kept getting...
To be fair Stafford has the best WR and a top offensive HC. Also Devante Adams isn’t trash either. We have nothing like that here

We lost to Sam freaken Donald with his best WR banged up. What a wasted opportunity. No screens, no short passing game, not sure what JMD was doing knowing our OL was a turn style.
Sam Darnold isn’t a terrible QB. Sure he’s not elite but why are we making this out to be that he’s some bottom tier qb? He’s decent

Wozzy brought it up in the GDT and others commented after that.

Drake needs to learn how to check down and take what is there. He doesn’t always have to play hero ball.

This loss will be worth it if it finally gets Drake to accept the value of the check down.
He hates Charlies-the check down Charlies that is.

My issue is that besides the Browns game, Campbell played just fine at LT pre injury.

I need to see if it was injury or teams figuring him out. Plus, he was a rookie. A young rookie at that.
I agree but 14 pressures is really really bad, not just a bad game. Either he is really injured or is a guard.

Add in he just turned 22 and was playing arguably the best pass rush in football.

I agree it was very bad, but idk. Just think there’s definitely nuance to this here. We can’t make a long term decision based on a brief stretch of games.

How many starting LT’s are aged 21-22 historically? I can’t name many.

Year 1.

They will take a step back next year so really they're two years out from a real sb contending team.

Team wildly exceeded my expectations this season. Fun, fun ride.

I’m also really glad to see the number of sober takes like this about expectations for next year.

The schedule will be tougher. Our AFC rivals may be healthier. Player development isn’t always a linear up and right.

Lots of good pieces in place. I’ve said/thought a few times. We really need to nail this offseason if we want what we saw this year to continue to build in the right direction, and become sustainable.

Missed this one.

I like how the announcers ALWAYS go out of their way to call these people idiots and morons. Literally 0 sense of humor found inside a booth when there's someone out on the field

This team did a lot of great things this year. Maye took a big year 2 leap. I'm going to switch sports here and I'm not saying Maye is LeBron James or anything but it took LeBron 4 years to get to the finals and when he did at age 22, he got swept by the Spurs and was not any good in that series. His career turned out fine.

I look at it like this, Maye went up against some really tough, physical, athletic defenses in the playoffs and the personnel on the Patriots offense were not on par athletically with those defenses they faced especially tonight. The difference with Goff is that Goff was in year 3 of McVay's offense. Maye is in year 1 in McDaniel's offense. I have no doubt if Brady started for the Patriots tonight that he gets the win playing against Sam Darnold. But Brady is in the 2% of all the quarterbacks who have played in the NFL that could have elevated this team to a win against the Seahawks. Maye's a franchise quarterback. Our we a future dynasty with him at the helm? Probably not. He has lots of stuff to improve on which is scary considering the season he had.

Look at Aaron Rodgers, he was raw coming into the NFL and he didn't start until year 4. He looked terrible year 2 if you go back and look at the preseason highlights on YouTube. Maye was an MVP candidate.

Tonight sucked but you have to be optimistic about this team going forward. We have a quarterback that is making Sunday's fun again. It beats watching Cam Newton, Mac Jones, Bailey Zappe and Jacoby Brissette.

That’s exactly the point. Brady was different. This was their shot (the new dynasty) and all Maye had to do was just throw the ball away or at least protect it with all costs.

You’d expect fumbles from Stevenson or Henry, but it was Maye hanging onto the ball too long. There was so much time in that pocket that Seattle just went for it multiple times and eventually got to Maye.

Our tight ends are not athletic enough or strong enough to play like Gronk or Kelce could. Our receivers outside of Hollins were double covered and couldn’t beat the man coverage

The Game in 1 stat:

Maye under pressure: 7/14 comp, 56 yds, 6 sacks, -0.82 expected points added.
Maye clean: 20 of 29, 196 yards, 0 sacks. 0.17 EPA.

Darnold under pressure: 4 of 12 for 47 yards, 1 sack, -0.09 EPA
Darnold clean: 15 of 26, 157 yards, 0 sacks, +0.02 EPA

Darnold was who we thought, unfortunately the Seahawks defense was what the analytics said they were. An absolute elite defense and best in the NFL. We just don't have the playmaking difference maker to support Maye on offense. AJ Brown here we come?

Awesome season! Made it to the final game, what a joy to watch the team this year!

The Seahawks had the better special teams. Only reason they won was because of Maye’s fumbles and interceptions and inept football IQ by the offense.

We can blame Campbell all we like, but it was Maye who decided to keep the ball and not toss it away.

THIS!!!

Everyone is making it seem like this Seattle defense was HOF worthy or a better unit than the legion of boom. They only looked good because the offense made them look better than they were.

All you need is a competent offensive coordinator and a QB who isn’t rattled by the big stage and they also would’ve carved that Seattle defense.

When did he “keep the ball and not toss it away”?
Keeping in mind people have been saying he should take the sack and not try to get rid of the ball under pressure

I think all of us have to accept one thing. During regular season we felt like we hit the draft outta the park.

Come post season - all our top 3 rookie picks across 2024 and 2025 hit rookie wall or bombed - Maye ,- ,- , Campbell, henderson, Williams .

That's one major reason . I think we just need to be patient and hope that all these e4 take huge strides and over one their weaknesses observed in post season

Maye - navigating pocket. Observing blitzes and short screen and intermediate passes.

Campbell - become stronger Lineman

Henderson - try to be patient and develop jump cuts when there is no gap . Take a leaf from Kenneth walkers playbook.

Williams - better route running .

Hopefully with this eimpeovem eta team becomes more hardened for playoff run.

Brady probably wouldn't win that game either, let's be honest. We would've had a better shot no doubt but we've seen 2007 and 2015 when the offensive line was getting destroyed. We scored 14 and 18 points, and that's with Randy freaking Moss and Rob Gronkowski, two first ballot HOF all-time starting 11 players on the team.

Mahomes in a similar situation got shut out of the end zone with Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce.

No QB can win when the offensive line cannot hold up against a 4 man pass rush. The coverage will sit on your shorter routes with the knowledge that you won't have time for longer-developing routes. We've seen this time and again.

The offensive line needs more talent, period. Maybe Campbell will be ok when healthy but damn do I wish they had just benched him and Wilson just to see what we had with Lowe and Brown in.

Interesting approach. You think you know what I know and I don’t.
Wouldn’t it be easier for you to just say you were wrong than to look like a fool?

Oh look here’s Ring 6 arguing with people and being an arrogant tool…..AGAIN!

Tom Brady had better WR's and TE's than Maye. Let's kill the thought that Maye can win with a bunch of JAGS...not going to Ever happen.
He just carried a bunch of JAGS to the SB and made them the #2 offense in the NFL.
Here’s a fun fact for you. The Maye leg patriots scored more points than 15 Brady led Patriot teams and less than 4.
All 4 had Welker, 3 also had Gronk and the 4th also had Randy Moss.

I think Brady’s game was better suited to play against that defense but would have struggled too.
When you can’t run and can’t pass block it’s almost impossible to have any offensive success.

If you read the exchange and that’s you conclusion you are likely mentally challenged.

Sorry the Defense did: the regular season Maye is on a milk carton somewhere.
