You can also say the same defenses they faced exposed an overrated offense with no true stars except Maye. And those defenses exposed Maye as well.
They were the #2 offense against the defenses they faced.

Definitely disappointing, but still overall an unbelievable year. We're on to the free agency, the draft, and 2026.
That's Exactly how I felt. I felt like the game was over in the 2nd Quarter you can only ask so much of your defense no matter how well they ar playing.. it's a team game..

I'm very Proud of everything they accomplish this season.. there's dozens of other teams out there that would have loved to be in thier position this year..

Looking forward to FA and the Draft... go get Max Crosby!!

14 pressures allowed in a single game?! holy ****ing ****
W. Campbell had no business even being out there no matter what.. coming off a serious MCL injury he was hurting the team more than helping..

The Game in 1 stat:

Maye under pressure: 7/14 comp, 56 yds, 6 sacks, -0.82 expected points added.
Maye clean: 20 of 29, 196 yards, 0 sacks. 0.17 EPA.

Darnold under pressure: 4 of 12 for 47 yards, 1 sack, -0.09 EPA
Darnold clean: 15 of 26, 157 yards, 0 sacks, +0.02 EPA

Darnold was who we thought, unfortunately the Seahawks defense was what the analytics said they were. An absolute elite defense and best in the NFL. We just don't have the playmaking difference maker to support Maye on offense. AJ Brown here we come?

Awesome season! Made it to the final game, what a joy to watch the team this year!

If they drop Diggs you take away the guy most defenses are scheming against and put us in the same position as last year. Especially since it’s looking more and more like Henry is hitting a wall.

You probably don’t want to have a situation where next year your QB’s two best pass catchers are gone

They'll upgrade that position easily if they want to.

Diggs no showed the whole playoffs. I think we'll be alright.

Would not be surprised if Maye's shoulder was worse than let on and he needs treatment.

Doesn't really explain the hesitation though. There were times where I thought I was watching Bledsoe do his statue thing. I think he was legit confused by that defense. Oh well. The whole playoffs was a good learning experience and he'll be better for it. Experience like they got this season can't be coached.

It's called being a fan...do you know fan is short for? Fanatic. Why do you care? Why do you get your Pats panties in a bunch when people rip the team. Its what fans do.

Oh for crapsakes. You are no fan of this team, just a blithering hater-troll. Heaven forbid your incessant *****ing and moaning also serenades family members. Whoever is holding your hand through life deserves combat pay.

14 pressures allowed by guy... SMH

The offense never had a chance.
I just looked up Remmers vs DEN in SB 50 because I remember that one being really bad. he “only” allowed 7! half of what Campbell allowed

I don’t think there’s data for SB 42 but I remember Mankins allowing 3 sacks by himself. not sure the amount of pressures. I’ve seen Light take a ton of blame from fans for that game, but iirc the 5 sacks were 3 on Mankins, 1 Hochstein, and 1 Kaczur

Spot on! Agreed 100%... my assessment is W. Campbell should have never been allowed to come off IR.. was reported a serious MCL tear... no matter what He should have remained out to fully recover.. he was hurting the team more then helping... Lowe was playing well.

Coming from consecutive 4 win seasons to the SB this season was awesome! This is still an incomplete roster with a nucleus of leadership and Glue guys..

What they accomplished this season wasn't a fluke and this loss doesn't diminish what they have built going forward.

Darnold last year in a terrible playoff loss:
25/40, 245yds, 1TD, 1INT, 9 sacks, 1FL.

Maye: 27/43, 295yds (~220 in "prevent" time after down 19-0 in the 4th), 2TD, 2INT, 6 sacks, 1FL.

Sometimes I wonder if Josh forgets that's not TB12 out there taking snaps for his offense. What worked for the GOAT will not work for someone else.

No, they're a young team with some old players in some key positions. At the start of the year they were tied for 7th with 13 players who were 29 or older on the 53. But they were also the 11th-youngest team on average, at just over 26.
I agree on overall side but the players who performed above their weight and age have declined as the season progressed and could potentially wane even more

Henry, diggs, Moses , hooper , landry ( injury) . Thats 5 starters and if you add in Wilson and Campbell position changes that's 7 new starters.

I would want us to be more invested in building young core. I am not sure if Henry and diggs would be value for their contracts next season.

Every team is working on improving themselves. Baltimore missed their QB most of the season and stlll almost made the playoffs. The Bengals missed their QB. Historically a QB like Mahomes doesn’t stay out of the race for long.

Can’t just assume the stars align like this year
It’s not about stars aligning. It’s about what building blocks you have in place to launch a run.
The teams you mentioned have dominated the AFC until this year, but every one of their starting QBs will be at least 30 years old at the start of next season. The reality is that they are going to start declining. Injuries won’t help slow down that process.

The 4 teams that won this year all have young QB’s and relatively young talent. They all appear to have their franchise QB and solid defensive talent. We may have already witnessed the power shift in the AFC this season, it’s the natural cycle of things.

You may be more concerned looking at the past rather than the future. Teams like Tennessee and the Giants could well turn it around next year rather than teams like Cincinnati and Baltimore. The Ravens nearly made the playoffs only because the AFC North was really only just a half step better than the NFC South.

The game was on the West Coast. Anyone who expected even HALF Pats fans has potentially never looked at a map.
I would say that at several thousand per ticket, $400 to park, and a $180 hamburger, our fans may be a little bit smarter.

He did exactly what an OC should do with a 2nd year QB facing a dominant defense with an average O-line blocking for him.

It was all runs and short passes the first three quarters Then Drake started playing hero ball because they had no other options.

In fairness the burger was for four people so it was on $45 per person for a burger

I know it sounds crazy but I think if we have Lowe/Brown in there instead of Campbell/Wilson we have an actual shot at winning the Super Bowl.

All in all, thankful for the season. Was fun experiencing with all you guys. Went to two games, had the time of my life. Onto the next one.
