Game Day Thread 2025 OFFICIAL GAME DAY THREAD: Super Bowl - NE vs SEA

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

So you’ve got his ‘legacy defined’ (as you put it) based on one shaky SB performance right near the start of his pro career?

A take somewhere between inane and insane.
Shaky is too generous. It is historically embarrasing outside of two great throws.

Someone wana tell me again Drake isn’t having a stinker?

Ah can’t see the reply from the muted prick anyway
I think the following can be true :

(1) Maye has come up small in this game.
(2) Maye has faced strong D all postseason & he hasn’t been able to overcome that.
(3) it’d be crazy to look at a 23 year old who finished second in mvp voting and think that he sucks - overall - because of it.
(4) Darnold’s journey should show us that Drake, despite these last few weeks, shouldn’t be labelled at this early juncture.

Still a bit too much hero ball tendency for Drake?

Looking forward to the postgame thread. It's going to brutal.

Maye didn't have a great night but the offensive live was horrific against mostly a four man front.

Anyone who defends Maye after his performance tonight needs to check themselves. Jesus I never thought I would see him play as poorly as he has.

SB rips open every deficiency you have.
The left side of the line has what's done it, he's looked for it coming every play now.

He doesn't trust the protection and then he's put the ball on the ground because of it and now he's been jittery and gunshy.

Maye had a great regular season, but for the most part struggled against good defenses. No shame in that. He needs another year or two of experience and a much better O-line.

I think both of the following can be true :

(1) Maye has come up small in this game.
(2) Maye has faced strong D all postseason & he hasn’t been able to overcome that.
(3) it’d be crazy to look at a 23 year old who finished second in mvp voting and think that he sucks - overall - because of it.
(4) Darnold’s journey should show us that Drake, despite these last few weeks, shouldn’t be labelled at this early juncture.
Darnold still sucks, let's be honest.

Exactly why I’m listening to the local broadcast. He’s been anti-patriot pro Seahawks since the coin toss.
Exact same here. I'd rather listen to Zo have his usual series of mini-strokes than listen to Collinsworth.

Sheesh Seattle gets the FG. That was a costly pick.

We still need 2 TDs to comeback but now also a 2 point conversion.

Five and a half minutes left...

Maye single handedly gave them the game.
That’s what happens when your entire offense is put on the back of a second year player. He’s gotten no help whatsoever.

Campbell is prolly not the tackle. I did not feel it was his hands. I feel he was getting pushed a lot back which speaks to poor strength and footwork.
