Win Sunday and the Patriots have the most Superbowls ever. Lose and they have the most Superbowl loses ever.

Ok so they already have the most Superbowls ever and they also have the most Superbowl loses ever as well but one of these records will be solely ours come Sunday night.

I'd really like for it to not be the latter.

Football didn't start 60 years ago. They are still behind Cleveland,Green Bay, Giants.
I didn’t realize Cleveland, Green Bay, and the Giants had all those Super Bowl appearances. Which is the term everyone in this thread has used this point. Not once did anyone say the Pats had the most championships or championship game losses or championship game appearances.

In other words you can't win for losing...
Or something like that...

Yeah, a 6-5 SB record and a 12th appearance means winning the AFC Championship 12 times.

Then again, most people focused on the losses are fans of teams that would kill to have an CCG appearance, let alone an Conference title.

Having the most SB losses (6) would be offset by...being tied for the most SB wins. Denver is 3-5 in the SB. Buffalo & Minnesota are 0-4. SF went from 5-0 to 5-3 in over a decade.

Crazy isn’t it.

Cleveland has zero
Are you like 12 years old? Cleveland has more championships than Pats. They are the original Pats.
It's such a ritualistic truth that Belichick had to coach there before he went to Pats. So did Vrabel.

It's the same thing. Just a different name for it.

Its not the same thing. The Superbowl was the game to crown who was the better team between both the AFL and NFL championship winners.

The NFL as it is now is not the same NFL as it was then. Essentially in name only.

You might as well give the Bills and Chiefs titles then if that's how you view it.

SB's is in the title. SB's commenced in 66. Since 66, no team has more appearances than NEP.
