This is why I'm leaning towards staying home. I know what I'm in for if I go to my friends party - a bunch of people that won't shut up and I'll be worried about getting my seat taken if I get up for one second.
Or worse….channel changers “just for a minute”. And then my family wonders “where did Dad go?”

Or there's a critical 3rd down and someone stands between me and the TV holding a platter and asks if I want some of her famous meatballs. I mean, I like a good snack as much as the next guy, but right now, STFU! Come back in 15 seconds!

Despite the occasional scrap and disagreement on this board, THIS is exactly why I stay.

Because no matter any difference of opinion, most posters here would tell Sally to shove her meatballs up her ass if she blocked a big third down conversion. And those are my people.

I ordered tickets to a concert for my favorite artist (Joe Bonamassa) back in June.
I "knew" it was in February, but forgot the date. So I looked at the tickets a few weeks ago and saw it was "February 8th" so I told the wife don't forget we have that show. She says isn't that the Super bowl?
Needless to say I was not happy.
I had a few friends coming, so couldn't cancel. It would have been my second missed Pat's Super bowl , including the 85 bears.
One of those friends texted me today "I looked online and the concert is on March 8th!". I'm a dummy.
So I'm very excited. My whole weekend is Pat's oriented. Just sitting home, good food, good drink, good football.
Go Pats!!!
Absolutely love this guy.

My wife knows NOT to walk in front of the tv during the game. If she sees maye getting ready behind the o line she stops and waits till the play is over.

Yep, Suicide Hotline, It's necessary for anyone following the game day thread.
When Denver had the ball up 7-0, there were posters declaring "Game over". That goes beyond anxiousness to just plain ridiculousness.

I would love to see what the GDT looked like from SB 51. Could not have been pretty.

Sounds great! I’ll be staying in Arlington so not far away.

Was bummed at first because I usually just watch from home so I can scream at the tv and be weird, but this place sounds fun!
I don’t think you’ll be alone in screaming at the TV, when circumstances call for it.

I'll be watching with my daughter!

She's been a full on Pats fan since when as a 15-year old in 2004 we watched at a friend's house the Pats take out Carolina. The friend was a Jets fan; all 20 people other than us were rooting against the Pats. After the game ended, we went outside, pointed our fingers at the house, and yelled "You! You! You! You!" for a solid minute. Very immature, yes, but it remains one of my favorite father daughter moments ever
Good job of raising her right!

You ought to get her to come to the stadium to give the people there lessons!

@neuronet , @n1997y and @PatsFanInVa - give them by best. Those guys have been super nice to me over the years and my hope is to make it there to meet them at some point. Just a terrific group of people and I always get excited when I see people talking about that place.
Believe it or not, I live right here but I've never gotten to know them! But maybe this is my big chance to get to know them.

Don't you dare visit without a meet-up (at least during the season!)

Fun fact, if you didn't know.. the bar next door is now a Bills bar I am amazed that nobody seems to taunt back and forth. I guess we are a pretty bourgie area!

They're in concussion protocol.

Watching it at home with the wife and the pets. Same I did for the Chargers, Texans, and @Denver games…. Same outfit (White Vrabel jersey, Ready Willing Vrabel long sleeved shirt underneath, a Pat Patriot t **** underneath, a Pat Patriot “helmet” cap, same boxer briefs, same socks, same pants, and my SB 49 slippers).

If pets aren't Pats fans, a quick pre game last visit to the vet is in order.
Yes, people are right. I am a horrible person.

My 1st grandson was born two weeks ago and lives 2.5 hrs away in Orlando. So I'm going to visit all day tomorrow (been going up every few days). I watched the AFCCG from a hospital waiting room/ lounge! I'll be home Sunday, with the big screen (new last summer), steaks on the charcoal grill, loaded potato skins, many adult beverages....
congrats on grandkid. They are awesome, I live 10 minutes from mine and they come for dinner at least once a week. We finally decided that we are doing pizza and wings to eat and beer or Brandy for my beverage. As I have gotten older Brandy has replaced whiskey as my drink of choice

Last SB party I went to was the Pats Carolina game and ended up breaking up a fight between 2 Pats fans. Not ever going to a SB party again

Speaking of inherently training other people. I used to have a dog who would be knocked out dead asleep on the couch for his afternoon nap. Then he'd hear the NFL on CBS music play, wake up, sigh, and walk over to the bedroom. Smartass dog
