2026 Draft: RT

Here are the leading OTs and conceded pressures in their last six games.

Why six games? I acknowledge that Barber's pass protection left a lot to be desired in the first half of the season, but something seemed to switch for him in the latter half where he only gave up three pressures in six games. So for comparative's sake:

Fano - 2
Barber - 3
Lomu - 3
Mauigoa - 3
Freeling - 4
Dunker - 5
Proctor - 7
Miller - 7
Iheanachor - 8

It would be wrong to discount the first half of the season completely which is why, with the possible exceptions of Dunker and Proctor, I have all the others still ranked above him and first round options (or trade back options). Miller is my preference as a 2nd round pick if we go in a different direction at 32. For that we get, arguably the best run blocking OT, and someone who can improve in pass pro as a developmental OT behind Campbell and Moses. Don't forget, any OT we draft will not be expected to start year one.

I'm curious as to why. Other than Keagen Trost, he has the best run blocking grade of any OT.
He looks bad in pass pro. Defenders just blow past him, and I hate how he lunges forward every single time. Sometimes works because he’s so big but I don’t see how that will fly in the nfl. I get why he is interesting but I just see it on film.

only saw this after I posted. So maybe that’s on me and I watched the wrong film, admittedly I focused on slaughter every time I watched Florida, but man I really didn’t like what I saw.

James Fowler on Dametrious Crownover

"I was blown away by Crownover....when he lands his outside hand punch it is thunderous"

Views him as a 3rd-4th rounder.

Just as a brake on Max Iheanachor hype, Brandon Thorn has a 5th round grade on him. Cory Kinnen has a 4th and James Fowler a 3rd.

I think they all like his potential, the question is how ready he is as a day one starter. That works out for us though where he doesn't need to be a day one starter.

I think if you just watch film from this season you certainly dont give him a 1st round grade. What you do see is tremendous pontetial, both athletic and in technique, he has come a loooong way and the senior bowl week was fantastic. That report is from november so i can definitely understand.

You're spot on though, is perfect for us because he can learn for a year behind moses, get in some jumbo packages and get a few snaps. Who knows how he progresses, maybe he even steals the job earlier.

But if Freeling is there, i think you have to take him. Its so hard to find good tackles in this league, i wouldnt pass on the opportunity.

Agree but the highlight of Crownover on 1vs1's at the Senior Bowl are very good. He had all kinds of different pass rushers at him.

Crownover is just so big and long he can swallow up edge rushers. He's also supposed to be athletic so I'm looking forward to seeing him at the combine. If we can get him a round or two later than Miller, Lomu or Iheanachor, he could very well be worth considering.

I actually like the options we have at RT although not very deep. For now, at least, Freeling, Lomu, Miller and Iheanachor all fall within our pick 32 window (I don't think Freeling will remain there) with Barber and Crownover both being day two options. And we can afford to be relatively patient with all of them.
