Southern Comfort was an excellent (Powers Boothe & Keith Carradine). Also like The Getaway with Steve McQueen, and the 2 Paul Newman flicks in the 70s.Walter Hill made some of my favorite films around that time., The Warriors being top of the pile for obvious reasons. 48 hrs was a great film, as was Southern Comfort. He was heavily involved in the Alien franchise also. One of those filmakers that were often overlooked ...but not by me.
First heard him as part of the "James Gang"... I was hooked, agree he is very underrated...Joe Walsh is an underrated guitar player.
48 Hours and Blazing Saddles and other could never be made today!Walter Hill made some of my favorite films around that time., The Warriors being top of the pile for obvious reasons. 48 hrs was a great film, as was Southern Comfort. Never seen the movie.I always notice that when the gang split up at the 96th St Station, that it’s actually the 72nd St Station on Manhattan’s Upper West Side where the scene was shot at. Also, when they get inside on the platform, that’s actually the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Street Station in downtown Brooklyn. I literally live on Surf Avenue in Coney Island, a few blocks from where the infamous “Warrrriorrrrs, come out and plaaaaayyy!…” scene was filmed. Classic cult film.
Yeah. You got it. An ‚us against the world ‚ saga.Never seen the movie.
I am assuming the Warriors were the ones who did the ass kicking, and not the ones mocking them to come out and play.
I think Hollins was mocking those who were mocking the WarriorsNever seen the movie.

Ha! That was the "I'm excited" emoji. I love all the Warriors references though I still haven't seen the movie (or I saw it and have utterly forgotten it in the last 30 years).@mike_usagisan - no likey random banjo tunes?
